Awesome. The Avenger series has just been phenominal, and Iron Man is it's flagship IMO.

I was hoping the HULK would be in Iron Man 3. They hinted at this in The Avengers. That trailer gives no hint at the crossover.

AND it does look cool.

Based on the trailer, it sounds to me like our villan is trying to mimic Heath Ledger's Joker. Go listen again and tell me I'm mistaken.

I would agree and mostly because of Downy who I thought at one time would just suck in the role originally. He has rocked it IMO, he stole the Avengers movie IMO as well.

Iron Man had an alcohol problem and a huge ego in the comics, so Downy was the perfect person to be cast for him. He also kinda looks like him as well.

I am still a bit off by the fact that the villain played Ghandi back in 1982. I have never been able to see Ben Kingsley in a believable bad guy role after that movie. I am always like "But he is Ghandi!"

The Avengers movie smoothly introduced alien/seemingly-supernatural elements into the Iron Man continuity, so that opens things up for The Mandarin very well.

All the drama seen in the trailer seems to be a rehash, though. "Tony faces his mortality", "what if someone else had control of the Iron Man armor"... these were covered in Iron Man 2. Hopefully the film won't rehash them like the trailer suggests.
