Just curious.

I lurve Japanese above all else, followed by Mexican (GOOD Mexican, not that gringo chain restaurant crap).

Least favorite is Italian...just don't like the red sauces and the white ones have a gajibillion calories. Don't like Thai food all that much either, except for the spicy lemongrass soup.

Love TexMex you get around hear. Hate real Mex with a passion.

Probably favorite though is Southern type foods plus some Cajun.

Despise most Thai food.

Mmmm, food.

I will agree with you, GKL, on the Japanese. One of the most memorable things I've had lately was a simple asparagus salad with a 20 year old black miso dressing....off the chart.
But, real Italian is real good, not the JohnnyCarino-rabba-roni-garden type fare, rather things like simple whole fish and seafood, braised meats, porchetta, and roasted fowl.
African and Indian are on the eat only to survive list here.

Liver and goat are pretty much at the bottom of my list.

Mexican & Italian are my favorites. It seems i live in the mecca of all mexican food, every little joint has nice real mexican dishes. To bad your not in the south west part of town, there are a few places that you would enjoy.

Italian, may not be real NY/Chicago pies and such, but it's eatable and I love panzerottis, and pizza, good stuff

Not so favorite would be Indian food, or hamburgers, haha.

-Steak that I cook
-My mom's banana pudding

-Brocolli(I cant even spell it)
-Collard greens

I shouldn't have to say which is my fav or not!

I have many favorites and my wife rivals or exceeds my mom on many recipes. I have good women in my life.

Love Indian, 'specially Chicken Tikka Masala or Paneer Masala.

Tex Mex is second if I want something super caloric and smothered in queso.

I try new things all the time. While I may not have liked everything I tired, I have found at least SOMETHING from every cuisine I've sampled to thoroughly enjoy.

Still trying to find something I really dislike. Raw jellyfish and some sushi would be stuff I probably won't eat again.

Sushi is way up near the top, along with charred red meat. That also changes day to day. Least favorite is tough too. I like most everything. Raw cucumbers aren't my favorite and I'll even eat those. Usually if I don't like something, it's because the cook ef'd it up, not what it is.

A ribeye steak, grilled over mesquite or hickory wood, rare.
Sushi is second on the list. Runners up include Chinese, Pizza, and Pasta.

I can't think of much I don't terribly like. Anything can be good if cooked right. I may be committing a sin for a gun forum but I don't eat squirrel. It's not so much a flavor thing so much as texture and shape. It just seems too much like a rat. Same goes for rabbits.

If we're talking about styles or varieties rather than specific foods, southern comfort food and Tex-Mex are my favorites. Chinese and Greek are my least favorites (at least of the foods I've tried).

Least Favorite---Peas, Oatmeal

Try Oatmeal without peas.

Maybe add raisins instead, or peanut butter, or maple syrup, or a couple eggs. It's good stuff :tongueout:
