View Full Version : what's up with the gold cup 22lr's?
i've got a taurus judge i'm trying to trade and one of the offers is a .22lr "colt" gold cup.
are these guns actually made by colt, and are they actuallt on par with the standard .45acp gold cup?
i highly doubt it but i figured i'd ask.
They aren't even close to a real Gold Cup in terms of quality.
I can't speak for everyone, but I'm personally sick to death of these garbage rimfire 1911 look-a-likes on the market.
For the money, you could get a Ruger Mark series or a Borwning Buckmark. Both of which are far superior than all these junk pistols.

Right on bac! I totally agree with you. I've been shooting a Ruger 22/45 for the last several months now and I feel it's been very cost effective training. While these blowback guns don't look anything like a 1911 the controls are in the same place and they are accuate. Whenever I switch back to the real thing it feels so natural except the recoil is just a little more pronouced. ;)
