if a 2-pin frame model with fingergrooves but without fingergroove-texture is a gen 2.5 model, what would you call a 2-pin-frame 9mm model with fingergrooves and fingergrooves-texture then?

a gen 2.8?

it has everything a full gen 3 model has, but just 2 frame pins in the 9mm version, so to say a very early gen 3 9mm model, before they startet to adopt the extra locking block pin from the larger caliber models of the gen 3 also for the 9mm models.

didn't they have finger grooves and light rails on 2 pin guns? If so, 3rd gen .

finger grooves, grooves texture, light rail, but just 1 pin near trigger (2 pins at all in the frame) and locking block, a full gen 3 would have 2 pins near the trigger/locking block (3 pins at all in the frame), so there must be a way to differ the 3 pin gen 3 model from the very early 2-pin gen 3 models by nomenclature, or not?

The 2-pin Glocks are not early models. The G17, G19 and G34 were two pin up to mid-2002, when the 3rd pin was added to simplify production, as all other Glocks had 3 pins.

i see, so you just call it gen3 then, right?
there is a gen3 pre mid 2002 (2-pins) and a post mid 2002 (3-pins) then.
