...since I'm downsizing on my collection (ups and downs You know)...I wanted something with enough punch that is simple, reliable and fast. Was even considering the expensive stuff, but under current circumstances...it wouldn't be fair.
The high gods of guns made me a favor (hopefully, but that I will verify soon) and presented with nice opportunity.
Used Glocks are about $600-700 here, so when You can see one priced at $450 it's either junk or You are very lucky.
Well, long story, but here is the end: Glock 21 Gen 2 with one year old Trijicon night sights (actually it looks like the slide came from Gen3 as the serial # points toward 2002 DOM, but I'm not sure). Well, here is my new, old, possibly franken, fat and ugly Glock. Should be here soon. What no rail? :faint:

I'm not sure about the first part  , but hopefully the second part is true. Thanks!

Very nice Nestor :)

Thanks for the kind words Brian.
It's just a tool obviously, but that must do for now.

Ok...as a Glock newbie, what am I missing that makes it an unattractive Glock?

Ok - it appears to be in good mechanical condition and the finish is not especially worn or defective. I admit that esthetically speaking, it may be a slight notch below a pre model number K frame...

Congrats Nestor! Looks like it should clean up real nice.

Exposure to the different, better looking firearms would be my best guess. Square slide maybe...whatever it's...I'm not buying Glock for the look.
It's a tool along with the 870.
One that hopefully won't come handy. Ever.
Different tastes, different people.
If You like the way Glock pistol looks, it's all that really matters.
I know they work and since I've got a killer deal on this one I'm more than happy.
Night sights alone are like $130-150 here.

Hard to argue with that Bruce

Congrats Nestor! Looks like it should clean up real nice.

I sure will try to clean it first and...maybe change the magazine and recoil springs. Thanks.

For the price point you've indicated, you've done well. I can't imagine a Glock, any Glock, that can't be squared away with some new springs and a little fluff and buff. I think you'll be happy with that.

I sure can send You my picture.
Ugly enough, so Glock won't be all alone here.

Exactly what I was thinking, and sorry about your used prices up north! Those are ridiculous!

Yeah...it's pretty much retarded up here.
Still waiting for the package to arrive.

Looks horrible. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I wish you could get the frames with light rail and no stinking finger grooves.

On the big frame Glocks it's the finger grooves that screw up the grip for me. If your hands are big enough to grip it well, no way in hell are your fingers that small.

Sounds about right :)
Yeah....I don't know what is all about with the finger grooves (I really wish these would be optional), but having a long, skinny fingers put me into the category of...no, thank You...Gen 3.

Considering your situation (resident of Canada) you've done very well, in my humble opinion. Best wishes.
