Test fire date 6/23/12. I noticed that the newer USA made Glocks had the state of Georgia on the barrel and slide. Mine does not, so I called Glock and asked why. The rep told me that the first USA manufactured Glocks, only had USA inscribed and the first run went to WMD Guns for the nickel boron treatment. Honestly, I just wanted the NIB-X model... I almost tell over when I saw USA and its Glock FIRST RUN!!! I'm a lucky S.O.B.

So, how does it function??? It has the 336 ejector and the non dipped extractor( I was happy about the extractor) It is identical to the extractor in made 2005 Glock 19.

I wanted to really give it a lot of rounds and types of ammo before I jump the gun on a review. 1450 rounds through it... Not one issue of any kind!!!!

Ammo: WWB - Ranger T's, Federal - HST, Speer, Tulammo, Brazer, even some Underwood and a few others. I have a nice supply of ammo so I tried some of pretty much everything. No failures or crazy brass anywhere except 4 o clock. Strong hand, weak hand, tried to hold the gun as loose as possible to replicate limp wristing. I tried like hell to get this gun to malfunction... couldn't do it. Does that mean USA Glocks are better??? I don't know... I just know I got a good one!!

Thank the Lord. Everytime I hop on here there's more bad news on top of bad news. That you're not getting brass to the face is fantastic. Frankly, it's made my Sunday. I bought an over priced G-19 from 2007 a couple of weeks ago at a pawn shop as a spare just because I wasn't willing to chance it with a new one. This is great, great news. Enjoy the gun and congrats on the smooth sailing.:wavey:

Why is that?

Seriously? US manufacturing doesn't exactly have a good reputation, especially in the firearms industry where the firearm was originally produced overseas.

Thats great news. I can't wait until the non-dipped extractors are "on the market".

1450 rds is a helluva break in!

Lol! 1450 took a few trips to the range, I assure you... I really wanted to be sure and try all types of ammo before I posted a review. Plus, I've heard a lot of folks start having issues around the 800 round mark so I really wanted to surpass that...

Not to step on the OP"s thread but my US made Berettas have been as good if not better than the Italian made versions. Some will say there are some minor differences but as far a function they are great.

Interesting that a new Glock came with the 336 ejector. I thought they had switched to the 30274 permanently. That tells me that the 336 ejector was never really the problem in the first place and that the 30274 was just a bandaid.

Out of all the USA made Gen 3 Glocks at my LGS, they all had the 336 ejector and this "original" non dipped extractor... Kinda looks like to me, they went back to the tried and true parts... Would I be correct on this?

It being a gen 3 explains it, the gen 4's come with 30274 ejector, new gen 3's still 336.
It seems like they may have just started putting the non-dip extractors in all of them. My gen 3 19 was sent to glock for some major problems. It had a dipped extractor, returned with a non-dip plus some other things.
My new gen 4 19(08/12) has a dipped extractor, 30274 ejector, so far its been pefect- infinitely better than my gen 3.(2000 rounds in the gen 4)
I agree though the new ejector was a band-aid, the problem is the extractor/slide itself.

i wonder why they didnt NiB the extractor....

when I had my G17 reinished in CPII from CCR I noticed they didn't refinish the extractor either even though some earlier pics showed they did this...my pistol has run 100%...perhaps there is a reason not to coat the extractor???...tolerances???

I just spoke with Glock and the tech said that the specifications of the new "non-dipped" extractors are the same as the "dipped" extractors. Glock is aware the "new" extractors are causing confusion. He said they don't have any control over the parts that come in from Austria. That might explain why the part number isn't different between the two.

Looks like Glock might have quietly fixed the extractor problem.

...lets hope so.

Hey, just because SIG screwed up their transition from German made guns to US made ones does not mean everyone else is doomed to that same situation.

Remember how everyone cried at the emergence of external extractors on new 1911s? Kimber might have gotten this wrong but there are tons of other 1911s wearing external extractors that are humming right along.

...time will tell if the US made Glocks are better or worse or the same.

True! But I figured out a whole back that most of the reported problems were Internet bs. I have yet to encounter a problem with proper functioning, to include ejection, with a glock in the real world. Just my local office has nearly 100, gen 3 and gen 4. I wouldn't know what btf or any of the other pandemic problems were if I only relied on actual experience. Thank god I have wifi, so I can read up on how amazingly lucky we have been. :)Thank the Lord. Everytime I hop on here there's more bad news on top of bad news. My Gen3 USA 19 - SN:AAAU, with no GA proof marks, test date 020213, has the "normal" (God knows what that means but it's not NIB-X) finish. It's obviously a "first run", or not, as/but my serial number is lower. Maybe it fell off the assembly line and they found it and finished it 8 months later. I give up trying to understand what happens at Glock. :faint:

Shouldn't it have Gen 4 markings? Just noticed the OP date of 2012.

I just picked up a new gen 3 NiB-X G19 from my local shop. Frame says made in Austria, and it appears like any other standard G19 with the addition of the coating. It has the dipped extractor however, along with the 336 ejector.
