I can't wait to shoot this thing. Fit is awesome and trigger is second to none. Guy can really build a gun. Here's a couple of crappy cell phone pics when I was picking it up. Better pics and range report to follow. BTW, pics don't do it ANY justice. And check out that test target! 5 rounds, handheld off of a bag at 25 yards with Winchester 230gr SXT's. Group measures .700"! :wow: Not too shabby.

That looks awesome Joe!
I hope it shoots as well as mine does. I'm sure it will.

Test target looks like it'll shoot pretty good. And that's with SD loads. That's pretty impressive, considering that most "accuracy" tests are shot with hand loaded target loads.

So the flare is high. Assume it ejects in a taller arc than "normal".
Does it have that interesting front sight setup where it's held in by the barrel bushing?
Very nice!

Extremely well made gun for sure. Can't wait to put it through it's paces at the range.

Joe, it's in the case I got the pistol in. I'll dig it up this weekend and take a pic.

Yeah, Liebenberg is a master 1911 smith.

Yeah, I think Chuck is the only one who could build a better gun.

I've talked to Paul a couple times and he's pretty cool. If you really look into what he's accomplished in his career you start to realize how few really are at his level. Not with just 1911s either but with pistols in general. I guess it's good for the 1911 world but I can't help but wonder how S&W could be so stupid to let him slip away.

Yeah, he basically started the Performance Center. I'm not sure if S&W tried to keep him or not. Paul may have just wanted to go his own way.
You're right, Jeff. Paul has very few equals in the 1911 industry.
Yeah, I think Chuck is the only one who could build a better gun.
I think its almost apples and oranges, Joe. They're both great in different ways.

Yeah, Paul puts unbelievable attention to detail into his builds. Mine is not countersunk, but he angled the buttom for ease of operation.
Here is a lousy pic, but you see what I mean.

Liebenberg uses a signature forged beavertail that doesn't look like any other. His 1911s really stand out.

I could take it or leave it, actually. I think yours looks cleaner without the magwell.

Joe, I found this real short YT video with Paul doing some gunsmithing.
Like I said, its real short, but very cool nonetheless.

Paul is a great guy and builds an awesome gun. I am fortunate that his shop is a mere 10 miles from my house. I stop to chat with him often and he has done some some work for me. I plan to eventually have him build me a full house custom.
