Would a Glock 22 mag reliably hold 9mm rounds, and feed through a model 17?
Same with the 23 mag feeding 9mm through a 19?

Yes. Reliably, maybe. I've had no problems with limited use at the range.

Their are some differences between Glock 9 mm and 40 S&W magazines.
The spacing between the feed lips being one of them.

9mm [.325-.335
357 Sig[.360-.370
40 S&W[.360-.370
10 mm[.360-.370
45 [.425-.435

While it may work it may be less then ideal. SJ 40

a millimeter difference in cartridge diameter doesn't cause problems.:shocked:

The only real use of such invention would be for the range...as risking reliability to gain 4 more rounds (for any other application) is just plain stupid.

Yes, it will work. No, it will not work reliably. Loading up the mag close to its max capacity (which will mean more rounds because of the smaller diameter of the 9mm round) causes rounds to be pushed out of the mag when they are out of the mag, and potential for feed issues when the mag is in the gun.

Ask me, "how do you know this?" :)
