View Full Version : "Police acknowledge that they have all but ceded these streets to crime"
"As the chief and his deputy drove through the Whitman Park neighborhood this month, people sitting on their stoops stood up to shake their fists and shout obscenities at them. When police officers arrested a person suspected of dealing drugs in a house on a narrow street in North Camden last year, residents set upon their cars and freed the prisoner."
Would it be safe to say that these residents are the "47%'ers" that Romney spoke of? :whistling:
I see only page 2 of 2 in that link.
Camden governing officials wanted it, the residents don't appear to mind all that much. They got what they wanted and provided evidence to every cop that while public safety is commonly thought of as a must provide service of government, not everyone concurs and some are openly supportive of disbanding law enforcement.
One can see that among the Left and many on the Right [see GNG for evidence]. The wealthy and connected Left have their bodyguards and exemptions; the Right have their Bushmaster ARs. It does not take prescience to see who is going to succeed in the long term. Hint - for all the fanciful 'Red Dawn' day dreamers, it is not going to be the Wolverine dreams.
You get the government you deserve.
