Found a private deal today online on a "Tan" Gen3 G36. As far as I know Glock didnt put out a 36 in FDE, so this had me interested and I asked her what the born on date was. She texted me back March 2009. ????

Well I met up with her a lil while ago and realized it was a mint OD 36 with brand new (it seems) Trijicon night sights and she was only asking $450 :shocked: I swear this gun may have 100 rounds through it, if that!! I brought this to her attention and come to find out she is legally color blind and didnt know what she had.. Needless to say I couldnt get the money out of my pocket fast enough.. I almost feel bad it feels like I did something wrong haha.

Takin it to the range tomorrow to see how she shoots, I cant wait.

On a side note, Ive never seen an OD Glock in person before. When compared to my other FDE Glocks, there wasnt a whole helluva lot of difference in color..

On a side note does anyone know if someone makes a magazine floor plate that sits flush to the frame? Not digging the way the mag stick past the bottom of the frame

look at the floor plate the mag sticks down allmost a half inch you would have to cut the mag body

I have not seen any flat floor plates but it would seem to limit 1 more round and knock it down to 5+1 and that's not acceptable to me.

Enjoy it. I have two and love the g36. It is slim when IWB and gives you a wonderful choice in cartridges. I have wanted a OD framed one for awhile. Lucky you found it. Looks absolutely awesome.

Seems like there is somewhere...Also check out Pearce-I think they make a floorplate that matches the front grip.checkering.

Nice pick up! I haven't seen many of those around. The only OD frame that I have is an OD G19. Good luck with it.

This is actually the second OD 36 I came across in the past couple weeks. I was disappointed the first one sold before I had a chance to get it, but now am happy I didnt buy. The first one sold for $500 with stock sights, and some holster wear. I think I got a pretty fair deal on the second

Really been lookin for an OD 19...

I modified my 36 frame so that the back strap extended down to the floor plate of the mag. I also reduced several other aspects of the gun, with 360 degree stippling. Ive made several other mods since this pic..

The more I grip tape my Glocks, the more I think of just stippling them. 3m Tape is so aggressive and I like that but most complain it's sharp.

I do appreciate the symetrical pattern you did. Everything lines up nice and neat.

Nice, Smokin!
My buddy has the same weapon, i.e., the G36 in the OD frame. He loves his!

Sweet! I liked mine(black), and it ran fine. I never did get the floorplate situation figured out for a flush fit, though. Good Luck.

I just wondered how the 36 shoots? It is a small 45 I assume it kicks like hell.

I just wondered how the 36 shoots? It is a small 45 I assume it kicks like hell.

I fired 50 rounds of 230 gr CCI Blazer last Sunday. It was my first time firing the 36. I had a silhouette target out 30 feet. Before shooting the 36, I warmed up shooting my 26 to ease into the recoil. I ended up putting all 50 rounds on the silhouette. 49 out of the 50 were either in the 8 ring or inside that. All center mass and all slow fire. Had one in the 7 ring in the neck. It obviously kicks more than the 26, but is not terrible. At the end of the 50, I had some minor discomfort in my hand. End result. I ended up buying one Friday. I am in NY, and with this BS Cuomo law that just passed, I figured 7 rounds of 45 is better than 8 rounds of 9mm.
