View Full Version : Government Auctions for equipment?
In a thread a while back, someone mentioned a government auction site where he ordered Acadias for cheap.
I asked but never got a response and now I can't find the damn thread.
Anyone know of this elusive and slightly magical place?

No dice.
Cheap acadias, where are you???

I assume you mean GMC Acadias?
Available inventory depends on what a particular agency wants to get rid of. I have seen real gems offered at auction but mostly its other people's trash. You just have to look at the right time.
Are you sure it was an auction site and not someone buying under a master contract?
For example, the State of California holds a master contract to buy Ford Police Enforcement Sedans for $23,242 each and Ford Police Interceptor SUVs for $26,578. Any state, county or city agency can purchase off the state contract for the same price.

Why walk on an Acadia when you can ride in one? :dunno:

They replaced my beloved Trailblazer SS with that hooptie, so I'm anti-acadias.
Unless they are $289 and resoleable.
Anyone?

I tried a bunch of places and couldn't find anything.
Their sales people want a .gov purchase order or something like that.

In the mean time, Amazon has some for around 249$ and change.

Funny, I thought the same thing, I have an 08 TBSS but I've been tempted to do a LS2 drivetrain swap into a GMC for a while. /offtopic

They are Oakley though
I believe Danner does 40% off for LE if you order directly IIRC...

That would be interesting for sure.
I defected and have a Audi RS6 now but I've been eyeballing Cayenne Turbos in the area. Nice black one here for $23,000. I can sell my RS6 and walk away flush. Less miles. Same power. SUV... hmmm.

Not any more. I've had a few guys try. Fedgov only according to my Sgt who called yesterday.
