Exactly! Republicans need to be more liberal to appeal to a broader demographic!

They should be pro-abortion, anti-gun rights, anti-limited govt, etc, etc...:whistling:

It seems that many are missing the point of what Rush said. The agenda of the liberals since the days of FDR is to put the people of America in a position of total dependency on the Govt. Once that happens (and the scenario is almost there) the voters will have no choice but to vote for the socialist agenda. How to get there?? Pass many regulations on business and industry which will cost a lot of money and are hard to fullfil. This causes business to lay off. Put the layoffs on unemployment. When unemployment runs out put them on welfare and food stamps. Put them on Medicaid and Obamacare. Tell them they don't have to work and that the Govt. will always take care of them..Give them free phones. And that is how the Socalistic agenda which the liberals favor has taken hold in America. There is no turning back now as the next four years will show....Santa Claus is coming to town....He's making a list--but most of you will not like it. To each according to his ability--to each according to his need.

Rush was 100 per cent correct, also the most important point he made was, let all these people that voted this idiot back in, take a long hard look at their paycheck stubs after January 1.

What all you liberal fools fail to realize is that the idiot you put back in the white house is the rich mans best friend, for the rich are picking up real estate, homes, factories at pennies on the dollar. You make real wealth on the demise of others, and the others are the middle class. You people won an election, but you had better have enough money to carry you starting from next June for the next 3 years.

Rush and his ilk is a big part of the Republican's problems.

"His ilk".......hmm, what a grand thought!

I'm part of Rush's ilk.....pat me on the back, eh?

Doesn't matter, there's only two types of people in our Country any longer......only two.

The milk drinkers and the milk cows.

Guess which most of us are? Things will only change now when the milk cows dwindle down to the level that there's no milk for those who want nothing more than to drink it for free.

Sure, it's going to take a while......I won't even be alive to see it, but it will happen IMO.The pendulum always swings both ways. And when it does swing back I fear that things will be quite bad for those society feels the need to rid it's self of......which it will indeed do with zeel. Me thinks it will see those who are a drain on things today as an infection, an infection needing to be cut out.......permanently.

We just need to understands that it will happen. Take a long time I suspect, or when things get like Greece. Notice what it's like there since the milk cows have dried up?

I think......just think mind you, that the milk cows here have a nasty surprise in store for those who've grown fat off their milk.

Rush is as divisive as ever. But his fans love it so he gets richer with every stab at America. Republicans lost due to their disdain for the working class. Forget unions and even more grossly overpaid sales reps. Republicans think minimum wage is too much for an hour's work. The millions of people working for minimum wage or less and millions more just above the minimum $7.25 an hour also vote. To label them as unworthy and tell them they're making too much is an insult that they remember at the polls.

Why not just make minimum wage $100 an hour?

or $1000 an hour?

What's left of the free market will adjust with fewer jobs and $50 hamburgers.

It's not a matter of addressing people down that they are making too much. It's a matter of simple economics. That menial skills labor only has a certain economic value in the market place.

People who "feel" they deserve more need to offer the market more in training, talent and/or skills.

These economic principles are fundamental. They won't change no matter how you vote or no matter how much you rail against any particular political party.

BTW - every time the minimum wage is raised, myself and every person who struggled, worked and sweated to earn more than minimum wage are effectively taking a pay cut. Until, that is, I go demand a raise from my employer - who, in turn, charges more for my services. Which is followed by others, where-as prices rise and people with minimum wage skills start demanding a raise in the minimum wage because prices are so high.

I think there are rational calculations that go into minimum wage such as cost of very basic living necessities and such. It's not based on emotional speculation. The majority of Americans don't want to go back to sweat shops and slave labor. Those that do are having a hard time at the polls.

Quite honestly, I saw no rational calculation on the part of Ted Kennedy every time he pushed this "rising tide lifts all boats" to garner votes agenda.

All it does is devalue the dollar for everyone.

I end up demanding more because I've taken a pay cut.

um, no

Care to elaborate or do you simply disagree?

Services that I purchase which operate at a minimum wage level increase in price. Plus union and govt wages, tied to minimum wage as a basis multiplier, increase too. Services that don't raise prices reduce employees, so I may have to wait longer. My pay does not increase correspondingly. I can now purchase less with my paycheck, the functional equivalent of a pay cut. I don't earn less, I simply cannot pay for as much.
