WOW... it took all the way to the day after the election for the UN Small Arms Treaty to make its way back to Washington.

Well...let's look at some of the Freedom-loving countries that sit on the UNSAT council:

Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, and China.

Yeah...this doesn't have "Disaster for the 2A" written all over it.....

Did you even read your own link? No less than three sentences say it has nothing to do with intranational firearms sales and/or possession. HH

As long as it doesn't directly affect imports or domestic sales, I don't really care.

As long as it doesn't directly affect imports or domestic sales, I don't really care.

"We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms," he said.

U.S. officials have acknowledged privately that the treaty under discussion would have no effect on domestic gun sales and ownership because it would apply only to exports.

It will affect imports if it affects other the exports of other countries, which I'm assuming is one the major points of this treaty. But it won't affect sales of guns made in the US.

You can blame the UN on the lack of Surplus Ammo coming into the USA now. They put pressure on countries exporting their surplus ammo.

That in effect caused the rise in prices of Commercial ammo.

Seems like a way for Obama to decide who our domestic arms manufacturers can and cant export too. Just because it might not impact you directly, doesnt mean you shouldnt care about it. Its international gun control that gives the UN the power to alienate any country they want based on who they want to call a human rights violator or not. China is a part of this, one of the worst human rights violators ever. What a joke. And bye bye all the cheeeeap Wolf ammo my AK loves so dearly.
