The total disrespect on this site is appalling.

The election is over, the majority voted for President Obama and he won the election. He IS the President of the United States. The same United States that we are citizens of. Many here were disgusted at what liberals said about Bush when he was President but now seem to think they can say what they wish about the current president.

Grow up and learn some respect.

It's a good thing that this is America. We don't have to respect anybody that we don't want to.

Respect is earned, not given out like candy. I guess Hitler should have been automatically respected too for holding the title of Fuhrer.

This site is respectful IMHO.

Have you been out in real life the last day?

The backlash is eye opening.

People are pissed off big time. I am talking about regular people who go to work everyday; the ones I deal with.

Yes I have. Just this morning, I had a guy start a conversation with me while I was getting breakfast tacos. He said some very bigoted and racial things about the President. Wow, isn't that nice. :dunno:

Thinking people are not racist and when you use race or profanity you lose the argument.

The 93% of the black people who voted for Obama are racists.

The 75% of the Spanish speakers who voted for Obama are racists.

The 72% of the Asians who voted for Obama are racists.

If whites voted lockstep like non-whites for Romney he would have beat Obama in a landslide.

People are mad because taxes are going up on the makers to pay for the takers. It is as simple as that.

Guys it is a title, not necessarily a sign of respect.

Referring to someone by their title has no bearing on your respect or lack of respect.

Officer Harless
Dr Kevorkian
Judge Sotomayor.

Calling him President Obama is a traditional title bestowed on him by the fact he won the office and will stay with him for life. Using the proper title is simply a sign of an educated, civil person. The name calling is 3rd grade temper tantrums IMO.

You're still a *****.

Absolutely correct. And now he is giving speeches about reaching across the isle. If he had truely done that for the last 4 years he would have received 75 percent of the popular vote at least.

I wouldn't say a lot but yes, I do respect him. I don't agree with everything he did. I even voted for him twice. I could not bring myself to vote for McCain/Palin or Romney/Ryan because of what the GOP has devolved into.

Not so much a lack of respect as a lack of decorum, refinement, education and literary ability.

President Obama is a stooge who will take us off a fiscal cliff. :)

See we can be both disrespectful and observe protocol.

Remembered a fellow that went by the moniker of Dubya?

I think the country was very divided on him, but I don't recall him personally attempting to divide the country, like President Obama has.

What I don't understand is why the people who don't pay Federal income taxes hate the people that pay 80%+ so much. If you crush the rich there will be no one to pay taxes.

I have made no one poor. I don't hate people because they are poor. I haven't been successful because I stepped on poor people.

I want everyone to have the opportunity to be successful. I want everyone to be able to support themselves and their families. If someone isn't able to do that due to disability I am willing to help support them..... through voluntary charities; not at the point of a gun through taxes.

We used to have hundreds of charity hospitals. Where have they gone? Have they disappeared because the government has forced every hospital to to be a charity hospital. And now that hospital charges me to cover that charity work. SO now I get punished. Another way to get me to pay for others without my consent.

President Obama will get my respect when he respects me and my rights. He doesn't respect me or my rights. I still respect the office.

Yes! The disrespect is beyond appalling! The disrespect shown to our Constitution, to the democratic process, to American sovereignty, to our security, and to our future is appalling.

The disrespect to the laws of this country; the double-standard, and disparate, selective application of this nations laws is appalling.

Wise up and learn that respect is earned. There is no moral superiority in giving it for free. There is no moral imperative to give respect to a title, especially one not honorably lived up to.
