WHAT A MASTERPIECE OF ENGINEERING!!! AND, NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO COMPETE
WITH THE GERMANS. AS I TRAVEL ACROSS AMERICA'S BY-WAYS I HAVE OFTEN THOUGHT
THERE SHOULD BE A BETTER, NEATER, MORE EFFICIENT WAY OF MOWING AND TRIMMING THE
GRASS,PLANTS AND TREES. THANKS TO THE GOOD DR. KAHN('45) I NOW KNOW IT IS
POSSIBLE. ENJOY WATCHING THE "CRAZY MACHINES THE GERMANS INVENTED. MY FAVORITE
IS THE ONE THAT TRIMS AROUND FENCE POSTS! AND HOW ABOUT THE ONE THAT WASHES THE
SIGNS !

Seems you just cannot beat German engineering!

Why buy that when you just have a few convicts cut the grass on a chain gang?

In Utah we just wait for someone to toss out a lit cigaret butt. Poof!

Back when I was an independent consultant most of my clients were in Europe. I had one client in Germany (large plywood company) that let goats just graze their fenced in property. German engineering. :)

Those damn Germans!!! Seriously, they are in the lead when it comes the mechanical engineering.

The Germans are very practical. It's right, or it's wrong. It is, or it isn't. No gray areas.

Plus, sheep are very cuddly when you're lonely. ::holysheep:

First in Florida there is far to much grass for that little mower head. Second I can picture that little circle attachment grabbing someone's leg now.

The USA currently has remote control robots on Mars, and you are excited about a fancy lawnmower? Remote control Robots on freakin' Mars!

This is surprisingly common. These days you can rent goats or sheep to maintain your lawn or clear an area of overgrown ground. Goatfinder.com's goat rental directory isn't that busy but I wanted to mention that site/service because it cracks me up.

The gizmo that went around the posts was pretty cool. So was the bit where the tractor moved to the right but the cutter head stayed on a straight path.

You beat me to it... The technology gained from them about 65-70 years ago will never be shown on the evening media..

While the Germans may beat us in engineering, we make up for it with wheels!

That machine is all hydraulics. Ask any golf course what they think of the problems with hydraulic lawn mowers. (then ask the EPA)

Its a cool tool, with a good operator it would be efficient and money saving . However I can see that boom mower lasting about 15 mins with the idiots we have cutting road right of ways.

Our Highway Dept. in Ohio has some about like that, but not the one that cuts around posts like the Germans did as far as I know.

While that's cool and all, I prefer Italian lawnmowers.

They can't cut for spit, but you get a happy ending. ;)
