All that proves is that a college education is no guarantee of common sense.

Indoctrination, perhaps????

Group A has gone through this institution and has changed their political affiliation. Group B has not and has retained 100% of their mental capacity. ;)

I think it's incredibly likely that there is a grand conspiracy that crosses state (and theological) lines where all of the various universities and colleges have agreed to secretly indoctrinate tens of millions of people with leftist propaganda. If you stop and think about it, it makes perfect sense. George Soros is probably funding it and Bill Ayers is writing term papers for everyone.

I went to college in the 80's and 90's. At a conservative Business school. Let me tell you - the indoctrination was there, too. I just didn't see it as such.

Those who can't do, teach. They can't do because they want someone else to solve all their problems. ;)

I think it also proves indoctrination and agenda.
The problem is of course the left will and already does use the intelligence argument for their perspective as it is.

it may also be related to the horrendous student debt a certain portion of senseless students are racking up, and their desire for someone to come bail them out of it, forgive it, or otherwise save their sorry butts.

I have issues with people who don't read the contracts and loan agreements they sign, and can't do the math or the research to figure the salary they need to pay it off and live on...but that's a whole 'nother thread.

You guys/girls have creative spins. But the facts are pretty obvious. Educated people tend to vote Dem, uneducated people tend to vote Repub. Spin away....

Nice election map. There was plenty of indoctrination when I went to college in ~1994. It disgusted me and made me more conservative.

P.S. I voted third party - Romney won my state easily, so didn't really matter.

You're correct except the indoctrination is being done openly.

By which I mean college staff may offer opinions that don't fit the hardline christian conservative view.

A Liberal Arts Education will just reinforce a females desire to feel good about herself by giving away other people's money.

That statement also applies to others with Non-Liberal Arts Degrees too.

I attended religious schools and college and the liberal bias was so strong that it was practically impossible to find any conservatives among the faculty.

One thing I did learn from my many associations and friendships with teachers and professors is that nearly to a person their egos will not allow them to entertain the thought that their groupthink can be wrong --- about any subject.

I'm completely disconsolate over Tuesday's election results. Those millions of Republican voters who couldn't get off their lazy butts and vote failed to heed the warnings about how critical this election was, not only for them but for their children, grandchildren, and America going forward. We've lost the country, people, and we're not likely to get it back. Barack Obama will likely get to name two or three Radical Left members to the US Supreme Court and many dozens of lower court members. But of course, those who vote based upon what government can provide and those too lazy to vote don't bother themselves with how cheaply they've sold their liberties.

The trajectory into Marxism/Socialism is always the same; the so-called intelligentsia leads the way down the path to first an all-powerful State and then into dictatorship.

New Mexico is on the bottom of the list for everything good and at the top of the list for everything bad. It's the one of the bluest states. The state voted for Democrats with exception of one Congressman.

I would say you've explained much more than the way higher education is.

Strikes me as a pretty good definition of society.....well, most of 'em anyway.:wavey:

What would make this discussion even more interesting is to look at the correlation between the most educated states, and the most religious states. I think we would see something interesting there too.

It is pretty obvious you don't understand statistics. So by your conclusion you must vote republican.

A properly formed survey would have the vote; democrat or republic against the different levels of education. Then you should add in the the percentage of each education level that voted.

This "statistic" is not meaningful and an educated and intelligent person would draw no conclusion from it. Since you have, and the author has, it tells about both the level of education and education of each.v:whistling:

College educated people are more liberal as they are richer and isolate themselves from the fray.

Here are some “educated” student voters in Boston. This is both amusing and sad.

Colleges, teachers and students receive government money, who do you think they will vote for? I remember being none too happy when Reagan began cutting back on my student aid.

The republicans should pander to these groups too. It is money well invested.

I have a great idea.
Stop all grants and loans by the Government to students for College. If you want an education you will get one.
If you work to obtain an education you will vote Republican.
It used to be that when you wanted to go to college you worked your butt off all summer to make tuition. You were a Carpenter or a Roofer or did roadwork. Now some guy from below our Southern Border does that work and our young sit on their collective butts and apply for Student loans.
When you work for what you have, you demand quality. When the Government subsidizes College, then Colleges raise their prices as it is "free money" anyway.
I'm still waiting for "Girls gone Wild" to become a major.

Anyone who's been to college knows that having a degree is not an indicator of intelligence. Being able to graduate college does not require an individual to be smart. That being the case, this chart has no practical relevance.
