It's the first Glock I've ever owned, and I put about 200 rounds thru it. No malfunctions, and very accurate. the first semiauto I've owned, that has shot that many rounds without a malfunction. I am beggining my turn to the dark side. may never carry my P380 again. It fails about 4% of the time. Very, very impressed so far.

Welcome, and congrats!

Yes, Glocks are addicting and some (like me) will never go back to anything else:)

Enjoy it!

Welcome aboard.

The G26 has been a very well received pistol because of its reliability, capacity, and concealability.

A 4% failure rate is too high for a defensive firearm IMO. That baby needs to be fixed, sold, or assigned different duties.

no semiauto could be counted on. Now I know better

I think you got that wrong, he was talking about your 4% failure rate gun, not the Glock.

Picking mine up tomorrow! Cant wait to put some rounds through it, but not my first glock. Have had one fte in 5 years that i have owned and shot my g22 and it was a mag issue. No question Glock is reliable.

You need to shoot a G27...The 40cal round is so much better...Just as accurate or more...Congrats on your 26....

The G26 may be the most accurate Glock of all. It rivals my G34 in accuracy.

Congrats on an excellent first choice.

You can't go wrong with a G26. The only gun I own now is a Gen 4 and I plan to shoot the bejeebers out of it in IDPA matches and the occasional IPSC match.

You might want to look into Federal 115 grain +P+ hollow points (9BPLE) for a carry load. The Border Patrol worked that round very hard for a number of years before they went to a .40 caliber issue. Some of the BP agents I know wish they had stayed with the 9mm because it had such a great track record and the .40 calibers have a tendency to beat their guns to pieces ... perhaps that'll change now that they've gone to a 180 grain round.

That's what I do. The end means doesn't justify buying it online. Just try to find a big distributor locally.

Congratulations! You're no longer a virgin! You did good picking a G26 for your first Glock. It's often revered among many as being the best Glock model on the market. I started out with a used 2nd Gen G22 and it was the first and only .40 I've ever shot and owned. Was so impressed I wound up buying a new 3rd gen G26. Proud to say I'm a multi-Glock owner. That's pretty good because I used to be a "plastic pistol" hater. Glad to say now that I was wrong.

Congrats on your G26. I carry one of mine daily. Tough to beat a G26 for daily carry.

And that rock solid lack of malfunctions--something the G27 cannot duplicate--is why it's my choice in subcompact GLOCKs. I have fired many G27s and have had issues with them all. I have fired one G26 for many hundreds of rounds without a malfunction. That seals the deal for me. A 9mm that works is preferable to me than a .40 that's a "maybe" with each pull of the trigger. Accuracy out to 100 yards is merely a plus, and the G26 has it.

My g27 has been flawless. Over 600 rounds in just the past week or so. Love it and is my primary carry. Also carry my g26 in a galco ankle holster as a BUG. Best of both worlds
