Outrageous!! :steamed:
The school's music director, DeShawn Walsh, was unavailable for comment. However, we were able to talk to two of his students, Qa'reem Brown and Tyrone Withers. Withers, who co-wrote the new version- which is tentatively entitled "The Star-Bangin' Spinnaz" states, "The old version was stupid. It was written by these dumb old white men who owned slaves. No one wants to hear that, know what I'm saying?" Adds Brown, "Check it out- young people hate America nowadays, and we try to capture that hatred in rap form."

Aren't these future democrat voters cute?
Im all for proactive abortion in this instance.
I'm all for a post-partum abortion here. This is not a situation where the mother should say she isn't going to give him up.

Hum... from the initial post, I didn't know what to think. My first impression was not good. But I noticed the link associated with the OP and figured I'd give it a listen. I have to admit... it's got a catchy tune. It's lot's of fun to sing. And... you can dance to it. What's not to like?

Well, the religious nuts rewrote it to add their little unnecessary part, so why would a different delivery method be a concern? In fact, if putting it in delivery channel that they can relate with gets them saying it and understanding it, is it really all that bad?

So did this happen or not? Never gonna give you up is bad, but not as bad as the OP's "story"...?

Is it sad that I sat through the commercial to get Rick Rolled? I saw what it was as soon as I clicked, and yet, I waited it out. Like watching a bullet flying at your forehead in super slow motion. A bullet of awesome.
One more reason to homeschool.

I've heard it done as a country song at a rodeo opening. Why the knickers in a twist over this version? I'd imagine the Jimi Hendrix one from Woodstock would give you an aneurism... HH

Here's an interesting tidbit. Abortion was introduced with segregration. In the 50's, black communities were growing strong, and the government need something to curtail the thriving black communities. Enter abortion and propoganda. In the 50's, black families had a 35% illegetamacy rate. Nowadays, black families have a 90% illegetemacy rate and over 50% of black babies are aborted. Insert a glorified gang culture on MTV in the 80's and you've got a good program of keeping the black people down. We need to educate not demonize. The song itsself is apalling but with all the devicive media that goes on these days it's no surprise.
