Grabbed an AR today

I've heard a lot of comments on how the parts, particularly the bolt carrier group and barrel, are on par with some of the best manufactures out there for a lot less money. If I was wanting an AR instead of a SCAR that would be my first choice.

Yes, the M&PT has 1 in 8" 5R Rifling. I had it on my Buds wish list for awhile before I realized its now a Dicks "exclusive". I broke it in with some American Eagle bulk and Tula, ran like a champ.

Think I am going to put on a NIKON M-223 1-4x20.

I have the older one, with Troy BUISs & Troy quad-rail, 1/9 CL barrel.
The OP has the newer one with Magpul BUISs, S&W quad-rail, 1/8 Melonited barrel.

Hey Chief, the 15T is not a Dick's exclusive, but Dick's does have an "exclusive" sku for your rifle. Some of the stores carry it with a Pmag, and some of them have it with some other type of 10 round mag, all under a sku sold only at Dick's. From reports on other forums, the magazines seem to be the only differences.

I believe you are correct because this morning Buds sent me an email stating the M&PT was in stock for $900. Already sold out.

Dicks sells it with a 10 round mag. Of course, that is where the $30 rewards money went.

Thanks...wasn't aware of the newer model. My uncle has the same one you have. He barely shoots it, but likes it a lot.
