No more "Get me a beer and a sammich" in that house.

:shocked::shocked:

You'll enjoy it. I love my Trophy Match. I like the sights on yours better though.

I have guns that I like to shoot and I have a 1911 that I love to shoot. They are a sweet piece of iron.

I've been jonesing for a certain stainless cco. I'm so glad that I procrastinated on sending CJ a check.

If I would have had to pass on this today I would be crying tonight.

Nothing worse than having to pass up what yu want or a good deal because you got something else.

The last time I did that it was in the 1911 area as a matter of fact.

couldn't find what I wanted so I spent more money on the next best that was actually "More" than I wanted for the purpose, only to find what I had been shopping for by coincidence 2 weeks later. I could have traded down but I would have lost A LOT of $$$$

It was nearly dark and I always clean and lube whatever I buy before I shoot it. I'll be heading there early tomorrow though!

I have an older plain ole Kimber Eclipse that has had a little work done and it's a sweet shooting gun. I hope that yours is all that you want it to be. Waiting stinks.

countrygun, 1911's are tricky. I just hope that this one is all that I've read that it is. I shot my TRP, yesterday and really enjoyed it. It will be fun to compare these two.

I bought this gun at my lgs on the way to a gun show.
It was kinda fun having dealers try and sell me something little and pink this afternoon. One guy tried to sell me a cap gun! I did enjoy the little red caps on a roll when I was about four or five though. I graduated to BB's when I was six and a Winchester 67 when I was nine.:rofl:

My wife has several .45s 1911 type and others and she collects and shoots generally S&W .357s. She was in the LGS picking up one not long ago. The LGS owner is a friend and also a neighbor. Some well meaning customer started in on her with the"'That's a pretty big gun for a little lady, maybe you should look at a .380" The owner of the shop just about busted a gut, when my wife looked down in the case at the .380 and said "Why would I want that? My Kimber .45 isn't much bigger and I can pack it all day".

She then launched on the guy with a lecture on why she prefers a 158gn KSWC in a .357 for blacktail deer ans opposed to a JHP or anything that generally feeds through an autoloader, although she might like a 10mm "like my husband's I could get one with a bit smaller grip".

I will spare the story of her CWP class:cool:

Thanks for all of the great comments everyone!

We started watching a movie and finally I said 'oh hell,
I can't sit still. I have new gun fever!"

I'll be glad when Greg comes along. In a round about way he kept me from spending my $ on a Stinger. Then he posted the pics of the Pro he bought and...

ETA: countrygun sounds like your wife and I would have fun shooting together. I LOVE shooting .357 revolvers as long as the barrel isn't over 4". After that the balance is off for me.

She has a 4" 28, 66, 686, Ruger Gp-100, Taurus Tracker and a 2" J" frame "ladysmith .357, She has eyes on my 3" 65 but since we have the ladysmith J, and the 3913 LS I want to get her the 3" "ladysmith" 65.

we have ur own little range right out the front door. It it any wonder I consider reloading the .357 to be my "full-time job" ?

I cleaned it this am and took it to the range. It shot two types of factory and three different reloads all well. The grouping varied slightly but also my hands got colder and colder. It was about 20'F out and breezy. I appreciated the checkering as my hands were cold after the second magazine. It was a pleasure to shoot. I was especially pleased that it ate the reloads without issues. It doesn't appear to be as picky as the TRP.

I would like to come across a 3913. I haven't ever seen one. There was one for sale on the S&W forum the other day but it sold quickly and I missed it. Does your wife carry the 3913?

I got luck and picked up a 3913 LS with the tapered dustcover and it was too nice to pack 24/7 and I got LUCKY bigtime and found a heck of a deal on a 908, the budget model of the 3913 series. I have been giving it heck and love it. My first training was on the full sized 39/59 series and I rediscovered them a few years ago.

My wife leans to her Kimber Ultra Raptor II CS .45. Though if the situation may cause her to lock her gun in the car its a Taurus Millenium .45 (It's been flawless for over 3 1/2 years).

In the hills it's one of her .357s Though I am working on Santa to bring a Taurus Tracker, .41 mag since I often carry a S&W 58 or Ruger Blackhawk in that cal.

My friends wife is probably 110 lbs soaking wet and she is deadly with a .357 Magnum snubby. Sex or size means nothing against technique.
