If I want to order an Upper online without a BCG or Charging handle, do I still need to ship it to a FFL? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have never ordered any AR parts on line. Thanks for the help!

Only the lower receiver is considered the "firearm". No FFL transfers for any other parts.

Upper can ship to your door.

+1 only the lower needs to be shipped to an FFL.

Anything you can order off of Brownells is legal to ship without a FFL.

Not really - Brownells also sells pistol frames and lowers that require an FFL.
