Hello guys. I am looking for a light weight jacket for this coll season. I live in Houston Texas,so I don't need anything real heavy. We get some cold snaps, but they don't last long and I have a heavy coat for those couple of days. I am looking for a casual type jacket that I can wear out to dinner, and movie with the wife, and go to work. I am in heavy equipment sales so while I do go out in the field and in to refineries and construction sites, I have field jackets. My dress at the office is jeans or khakis and button down shirts.
What have you got for ideas? I have looked at the LL Bean offerings and they don't look to bad.
I also will be carrying so that is a consideration. Usually with this type of dress I will use a Galco Jackass shoulder rig.

I have a 5.11 lightweight tactical jacket that would work well. It's light weight, breathes well, looks good, and had internal holster, flashlight, and magazine pouches.

These would be my choices for dining out with the wife and also for wearing to the office. I am not sure how warm the blazer is, they used to have a thinsulate blazer but I don't see it now.

I'm not sure what you're style is but I wear a Carhartt lightweight jacket most of the time in South TX (during winter).

It's their regular light brown color with some brown corduroy on the pockets, cuffs and collar. It's long like a coat, but unlined. It's a common jacket with cowboys down here, it's perfect for mornings when all you really need is a windbreaker. I've worn 'em for years but I can't find it on their site.

Thanks for the replies so far. I have a Carhart that I wear when I am out on job sites. You really can;t beat it. But I am looking for something a little nicer. But I don't want the blazer style, and those kast gear are definitely not me. I think I am going to order one of these

or this

But the last one I think is too heavy, but you can zip the fleece liner out.

Just got this one and I love it.

Sleeves were long like a lot of reviwes said, had them hemmed a bit and its perfect.
It is a tight fitting jacket so with my winter hat in the inside pocket it kinda causes a budge so it looks like I have a weird growth in my abdomen but really its not to bad. I carried my G23 with and inside the waist band with no problem.
