I was looking at some Surefire & 5.11 products and then someone here mentioned LAPoliceGear. It seems like a good place to get deals & also free shipping if I buy everything from there.

So, I'm just wondering why people would buy direct from those manfucturers anymore:dunno:

I have been using them for years no issue for me. I think I just got email for 15% off.

I've used them, been happy most of the time. The only problem I have run into is back ordered items sometimes take a LONG time depending on the item.

I have also used them several times with zero problems.

Good company shipping can take some time. I hear they do drop shipping so that could be why..

^^^This^^^

Years ago, I would order and get my items in a decent amount of time.

Lately, it seems like they keep less and less stock on hand, requiring a "back order".

Some have taken a ridiculous amount of time to fill.

In fact, I have cancelled several orders, after waiting weeks for delivery.

I use them, but if you have to pay shipping they rape you. But sometimes you gotta just say screw it.

I've used them quite a bit. In Iraq, a number of us ordered clothing from there; 5.11 gear was very inexpensive. I think I was getting 5.11 pants for about eighteen bucks, and their own operator pants were about ten at the time. I knew quite a few folks that ordered a dozen or more. They were cheap, and held up quite well.

I've bought quite a few things there. I just got a several polo shirts there a few days ago. It took about three days from the time I ordered the shirts. I've ordered various surefire lights, clothing, boots, backpacks, and so forth, and have had one problem involving a backorder, several years ago. They gave me the choice of canceling the order or waiting: problem solved.

As long as the products are In Stock, then they are great to order from. Except that they are a long way away for ground shipping.

I like them. Slow shipping, but good prices and usually great deals on close outs.

Why do manf's still sell stuff?

Because they sell $50 for $50 to you and make $40. When they sell them to LAPG, they make $20. Why not do very little work to get an extra $20 some of the time??? Plus it seals LAPG as a good supplier b/c they sell for lower/better prices.

Everyone wins, especially Surefire, 511 and Blackhawk.

Ive only had one issue buying from them in the past 4 years. It was a shipping error and then the parts were back ordered. Magpul had a huge back order with them at the time. So it took 2 months to get them but they shipped me each one as it came in off back order. They always have good prices and good cs. Thats why I continue to use them for clothes, used them while I was in the academy for gear and hopefully duty gear soon.

Agreed, seems that 5.11 gear was the unofficial "uniform" of civilian contractor when I was in Iraq and seems most the guys I knew ordered from LA Police Gear.

I've ordered there a few times no problem.

The only thing I will say is that if an item is not in stock (it will say plainly on the page) you might have to wait a couple weeks for it to show up, but if you get a good price, free shipping and have a discount code, it can be worth the wait.

I'm another satisfied customer. Resellerratings.com has them rated at 8.8 out of 10. That's an excellent rating.
