The video wouldn't play for me either.

BTW that station has a crappy web page. You have to look all over the thing to even get a clue where it's located.

Stupidity all around on that officers part. Dog was under control. Why for 30 minutes did they not try to contact the homeowner?

This crap pisses me off.

The dog sits in the garage and gets tased (who the **** tases a dog and expects compliance?) by a cop and then shot for trying to get away.

Let's just forget about the 4-5 rounds that were fired in directions unknown. That is just icing on the cake.

If you can defend this action, please step up an allow the world to see your dumbassedness in open forum.

I have a list of possible candidates...let's see if they have an opinion.

I thought they said the homeowner was watching the cousin's dog at the homeowner's house? When she left for work the dog tripped the garage door sensors, causing it to go back up?

I'm fairly certain that the purpose of a catch pole as used by animal control officers is not to hold the animal still so it a can be more easily dispatched by police on a neighbor's driveway.

I am usually very shoot first and ask questions later in order to protect yourself first.. I also think LEO's have a very hard job and are usually trying to what is best. However they screwed up bad here. Absolutely no reason to shoot this dog. They had animal control there, who should have gotten some backup and trapped the dog. It is really an easy situation to handle with animal control there, that is what they do.

I bet she would have loved a piece of bacon and rub over getting tazed and shot.

30 minutes would have been long enough to get a treat from a neighbor or store and come back. There was no need for this to happen.

That cop should be in jail. He's a ******* dangerous idiot.

If that was my dog he would want to be locked up and safe from me.

I was a LEO and that gun happy SOB should be not just off the Police Force but off the streets.

I work animal control and this is a sad sight. Once the catch pole is on it is easy to control any dog that size. The shots were completely unnecessary, I guess I have it lucky since most of the cops I deal with are so afraid of dogs they won't get close enough to shoot.

If it wasn't for that video, it would have been the police's word. As long as they went home safe right?
