That is until I saw that they were just estrays. They let you come right up to them. I've been playing golf for 45 years and I've never seen two pigs with a goat on a golf course before.

The two pigs sure looked tender. Curried goat is a fine meal too. But I resisted.

Any REAL man could take down a pig with a golf ball and finish it off with a golf club. Just sayin'.

I'm just gonna go out and say it, that's some crappy looking grass for a golf course.

Did you get a warning at the clubhouse to not let the goat eat your balls?

Maybe because it is late fall? But I agree, not especially attractive as far as golf course grass goes.

I think that is a spot where you were never intended to hit your ball- I know because unfortunately I frequent those out of the way places on every course I play.

You'd be right. It was in front of an outdoor bathroom.

Tee to green, our fairways are green. The greens are 11+ on the Stimp.

We also have 10,000+ fat, fox squirrels. I need to bring out the AAC Badlander and fill up my tag.

And still shoot an eagle on the hole.

We're not but a humble country golf course. Sorry we're not Olympic or Spyglass.

Golf snobs. Kinda like Illinois Nazis.

If you would have dropped one of the pigs with a single shot would you have bragged about a hole in one?

Could be because they allow goats and pigs on it.

That was funny.

Times are lean. It does cut down on maintenance costs.

I had to chase off a flock of turkeys once while trying to tee off at the 8th hole at Sawmill Golf Course in Clifton Maine.

Stupid birds didn't know they were in grave danger of one of my famous slightly sub-sonic worm-burners.

I see more wildlife on that course than when I'm hunting!

The municipal golf course in the town I grew up in was always in top shape, not a single brown spot. In fact, one of the mowers once leaked some fluid and killed the grass in an area about 100 feet long and the guy that did it was fired immediately.

Being late fall the Bermuda and zoysia are dormant because of the temps being cooler

I know it's early (as far as the thread), but can we nominate this thread as a late comer in the thread of the year contest?

That's a new one! Playing here in Central Florida I have seen a myriad of animals on the golf course. Alligators, turtles, deer, fox, snakes, turkeys, skunks, raccoon's and every kind of bird that lives here. But I have never seen a goat or hog on the course. We did have a hog tear up one the greens on a local muni but I never saw one.

It would be if the hog rutted it up. I knew a guy who was allowed to "fired" at the hogs in the evenings for that very reason.

In Arkansas, once escaped pigs have been out for 7 days, they're considered feral and open game.
