The $35 tac light that Walmart sales. It's just hard to find a holster to work with it. Otherwise the TLR-1 is what I have and can be found for like $109 new.

First of all, keep in mind that home defense is not offensive house clearing. House clearing is a great way to get yourself killed. Your handhelds will serve you well.

I can even hook you up with a holster if needed.

Are there any lights for the 19 that sit flush with the muzzle, or better yet sit recessed like my C5L does?

I've gotta TRL-1 but if I had to do it over again a good hand held surefire with a lanyard would do just fine.

The Streamlight TLR is one to look at.. Holsters are easy to come by and cost is probably around $120.

For weapon mounted lighting, I choose the streamlight TLR-3. They're $70 on amazon.

I have a streamlight stinger LED for handheld.

Best overall quality and performance: Surefire X300 Ultra.

Second best overall weaponlight, with perhaps slightly superior switching: Insight WX 150.

Color me thrifty (cheap.) I worry alot more about the handheld light than what is on my gun. That said I have a Nebo that has rode on the gun for a couple thousand rounds without issue and still works fine. I also remember when revolvers did not have rails and I managed to search buildings just fine.

I am new to the light issue and have a Gen 4 G19 still trying to decide on gun mounted or handheld??? More input from you all with experience would be good??

For an extra $80 there's no reason to not buy an x300. It's the standard for a reason

Do you like one hand on your gun or two?

It's not a matter of either one or the other; you really need to have both.

I just ordered a TLR-3 for my gen 3 Glock 23.

I have no doubt that the Surefire 200 is better, but after buying a pre-ban Glock in Massachusetts, I don't have my cash left over! :crying:

I'll let you know how it all works out

Nice simple way to put it.

Agree with the others...if you want to pay once and cry once get the x300U

I have a Surefire X300 that I bought for my Sig Tac Ops 1911, but it is out having a few upgrades done, so for now, my G20 wearing it. I like it alot, but I've tried it on my G19 and it's a tad big for that gun IMO. Great light though.

I got a Surefire x300 Ultra on my G4 G19 and it fits like a glove. Perfect!

The 500 lumens is way more than the regular x300 and worth the wait if you have backorder one. I got mine from a big online photo dealer out of NYC. Took two weeks the the price was the best.
