I'm running around my house without a shirt on. It's 72F outside. It will be in the 50s and 60s all week.

Same here in WNY but it's only 50's and 60's, but you don't have to shovel sunshine.

84 yesterday, about the same today. Sunny and clear.

4-5 years ago we had a little ice storm on Thanksgiving.

I'm not a believer in man made climate change as much as I am in man made calendar does not control nature. I'm sure it will be rainy and cold here soon to satisfy the complainers.

I am not complaining about it at all. I have used about 25% less wood to heat my house so far than I usually do.

Dandelions are popping up in our yard in Western, PA.

However, this is what is was like just before the GREAT BLIZZARD of 1888.

Winter starts on 21 Dec.

That's the day the world is supposed to end, so I guess we won't see a winter this year.

B-rock banned winter this year.
It wouldn't dare snow anywhere.

Winter doesn't start for about 3 more weeks. Enjoy the fall while it's still here.

I am loving it. I wore long johns only a couple days (when I knew I would be out in wind for hrs)
We do need moisture. Then again it takes @ 10" of normal snow to make 1" of rain. (and most snow water runs off) So if we get a mild rain (as forcast) after 3 days of +33 degree weather.....

82 degrees today in Yewston.

Well technically winter starts on Dec 21 at 11:12 hours UTC. However, I'm not sure if the Mayans told us exactly what time on Dec 21 the world will end. But in any event, guess it will be a short winter if there even is one.

I am praying the world will end on Dec 21, it will save us all a lot of BS in the long run.

So, you'd leave the world to those danged spotted owls and snail darters?

You do know that it is a conspiracy between those two to get rid of us. Every time a tree is hugged, they laugh.

I predict that if we survive Dec 21, the globe will start to warm about 3 months later.

1) Winter doesn't start until around 12/20.
2) The world won't end until God comes; and that won't be this year, this month or the 21st.
3) I remember the day after Thanksgiving playing golf in Springfield, MO somewhere back in 1998 and it was about 72 degrees out.

It better get to be winter real soon,,,,or the drought next year will be real disaster. Round bales of hay are selling for over a hundred bucks each. You cant raise cattle and feed thru winter paying for hay at that price. Nice horses are going to slaughter cuz the owners can not afford to feed them and no one wants to buy one.

I'm going to give my hay to my neighbor next year just to help out.

Hey! You have as much credibility as the Mayans. Go for it.

We're already dry here at -12" from average.

I'm really concerned about this one. We were able to squeeze out a crop last summer, but if things don't get sloppy fast, we're in big trouble. I'm OK with the warm temps. We just need RAIN!

You're right. The Mississippi is so low that unless we get some massive runoff, it's going to be closed this winter.

You Iowa guys bring us a lot of corn,,,,and no corn = costly meat prices. A Mcdee big mac will end up costing some outrageous price or any food service for that matter will cost us just to go out and eat a simple meal. Lots of restaurants will probably close up.

There's a lot of concern here, from a production standpoint (soil) as well as distribution (Mississippi). I dunno. I can't imagine the cost of food if things don't pick up. I don't think most folks in the USA can understand how heavily we depend on the midwest grains (corn/soybeans/wheat).

I had an Ag business professor in the early 80's tell us that the petroleum industry seems like a big deal.....right up until you run out of food.

Going on lower 60s highs, upper 30s lows. No precipitation anytime soon. I like the weather, yet if something happens soon we'll pay for it with forest fires next year.

Yesterday there was an ice cream truck cruising our neighborhood -- definitely not normal for this late in the year.
