so ive often toyed with the thought of building a cheap Fox body stang to beat on. Boosted 4 bangers are starting to get old. anyways, ive been surfing C-list for a chassis. i came across this gem, thought it was interesting. the user made a youtube to aid in selling his car. at 700 bucks i was interested at first.

I would buy that for $700 in a heart beat.

He must be a strange redneck guy something like that. Is the turkey his wife? I hope not. :)

i would too. im just not sure i want to call him. seems too good to be true. 700 bucks? surely anyone who would maintain and mod such a car would know its value is more than that. the way he talked to that turkey weirded me out.

The car appears to be strong, and doesn't appear to be burning any oil or coolant. $700 is way below what car would normally sell for. Should be at least $3500-$4000 in the condition it appears to be in. Then again, this guy is obviously not right in the head to begin with so it may be legitimate.

If it is legitimate, it is well worth the cash. I paid $3900 for my 92 gt in similar shape.

hahaha, this is great, go buy it, alot of the time on craigslist people sell stuff for crazy low prices. I've met ton's of strange people while buying stuff on there, and I'm always armed when i make a transaction, or at least have someone with me.

The best deal I've made do date was a craftsman snowblower, paid 50 bucks for it. Still had the bubble wrap on the handle and never had oil in it:cool: a lady in a higher class neighborhood aroundhere bought it for her husband years ago and he never used it, so she put it up on craigslist. The tines still had caution stickers on them, never used!!!!!!!

The real price on this blower???? $525.

I say go buy it:cool:

PS. I'd go see it, if I were in the market. What do ya have to lose?
Well...besides your skin, that is....

If it is a stolen car and you have reported this to a police department then you might get some rewards for doing this. I'd expect less than $200 but that is a free money for doing the right thing.

I worked at a Mustang specialty shop between '98 and '04. We frequently bought and sold fox bodies. While your car is nice looking, $3900 is what I might have paid for a '92 back then and it would have to be mint if it was stock. I guess the market is whatever someone is willing to pay but I wouldn't pay nearly that much now. My last Mustang purchase was $2500 for a '95 V8/5 speed a few years ago.

While the loon's car in the video is certainly worth $700 running(the boofa wheels make that hard to say), there is no way I would give $3500-$4000 for it. He'd have to pay me 700 to take that car after seeing the video.

Finding a fox that hasnt been wrecked, abused beyond belief, or stock is tough to come by anymore. The car I bought is clean with the exception of the typical things you would expect of a 20 year old car. Bad shocks, dry rotted bushings, etc are nearly impossible to avoid. Other than that the car was in great shape and I missed my old stangs so I got into another project. The car weas stock when I bought it with the exception of the hideous blue foglights, flowmasters, and the weld draglites.

The market in South FL at least is commanding that kind of price right now. For a notch, the price just goes up.

Did you reported it to a local department? You might get some reward and you would want someone to call if your car was stolen just like in the ad.

I guess it could be worse. In '01 or '02 a young army guy brought an immaculate white '92 GT with ~60K miles to the shop. He had loaned it to his buddies for the night and he got it back running on 6 cylinders. It ended up needing some major engine work and he didn't have any money to fix it. The shop owner was interested in buying the car and had a perfect low mileage engine to put in it. Since it was so nice we were thinking of offering around $4K as is. The kid was from Montana and had bought the car there about 6 months earlier. He still owed $9,800 on it. He said they were nearly impossible to find there and were always $10K or more. We're talking about a car that cost $15k new and was pushing ten years old.

Even if the guy is weird and a little off, for 700 if the body is relatively rust free and straight its worth every penny. I have been a mustang freak for over 15 years and currently am down to owning 3. Fox Bodies have already bottomed out in the market and are only going up in price, especially for a clean one. SN-95's are about at the bottom of their market now, although the 96-98 will never recover as they are known to be the red-headed step child next to the Mustang II. Clean Fox Bodies are hard to find and the Notch is more desirable. I personally prefer a nice monotone GT and sold my Notches off. The Fox body will become the first gen Camaro of our generation in the years to come.

This thread just cracks me up. Some guy driving around town with a turkey in his car! He's definitely off-balance. Probably the topic of a lot of conversations down at the local cafe.

What's with the rubber barn-boots? Oh yeah, all that turkey s**t in the floorboards.

Proceed with caution.

LOL I saw two turkeys were running with him, where he was trying to grab the some kind of spray to start the tractor (at 5:10 to 5:25). They must have developed a special bond with those turkeys. Maybe they sleep together........

I find this odd. He has a big house and several toys. He uses a very high quality camera to upload those clips on youtubes. It doesn't sum things up to a sense.
