Newbie needs help, sights.

Had a new G-19 at the range last week. First shots were not on the paper. Point of impact is low and way right. I can drift the rear sight for windage, but I need to do something about elevation. I came home and measured my rear sight. I have seen sights in the range from 6.3 to 7.3 mm. on a popular auction sight. I did not know where to measure the sight, but from the top of the slide to the top of the sight appears to be 6.5mm. Is that the standard sight for a Gen 4 G19? I do not mind buying a sight, but I would prefer to stay with the standard Glock sight. Anyone have any good solutions for my problem? I am just a casual shooter, if I can keep them all in a foot at 50 ft., I am satisfied.

There are some that will disagree with this, but the POA will change after it is broken in.
