The 113th Army-Navy game is this Saturday and the two teams have finally released photos of their game specific uniforms.

First up is the Navy.

They have a pretty gold stripe and an anchor...

Now for the Army

If you look closely at the sleeves, the stripe on the helmet, the gloves, and the inside of the numbers... those are maps from the Battle of the Bulge. :patriot:

...and cue the SEC fanboys to start shouting that this is a meaningless game that shouldn't even be played and that all the players on both teams are a bunch of candyasses and if they had any real talent they would be playing for Alabama or Florida blah, blah, blah....

Fair winds, following seas, Navy by 33.

Those Navy uniforms are super slick!

I usually root for whoever is having the better season that year so they can have a chance at a bowl game or something. No losers there.

Uhhhh.... you do know that USNA commissions USMC Officers, right?

And that the USMC is part of the DoN?

Also, the Mid's salute is much more squared away than the cadet's.

Also, the Mid's salute is much more squared away than the cadet's. - Yawn.

Glad you got the joke :whistling:

Good jokes are based in reality. I served with many Marines in/from USNA. They all shout "Go NAVY" as loud as the rest of us.

Many of the NAVY football players are former and/or soon-to-be Marines.

Wrist is straight, but they're still both pretty jacked up, I'll let them blame the pads though.

If you want to see squared away, watch the cadets march in, something the mids can't do. :tongueout:

Good game. Army QB will never forgive himself long after his friends and colleagues do. The Black Knights played outstandingly well overall; he's got nothing to be ashamed about.

But, well, NAVY!!!!

11 straight wins for Navy. 8 senior classes at West Point have never won a football game against Annapolis.
Almost makes me agree with Roger Staubach, when he said after the streak gets to 15 he might start feeling bad and start pulling for Army to win one.

Almost.....

My class was one of the few at Navy to never beat Army, so I have little sympathy...

1992 through 1996 was 5 straight wins for Army by a total of 10 points. After that, Navy didn't pull ahead in the series again until 2005.

Yeah, several games decided by a last play, nerve-wracking field goal, and either Navy missing a close one or Army's half-blind kicker nailing one from across the field.
