I just traded a Ruger SR40C for this 40 cal sub compact. So I decided to see what was being said about them here, but I don't see anything.

You guys got any opinions on these?

I never cared for them, but many seem very fond of them.

Here's mine in 9mm. Shot 50 rounds through it, never liked it, but it looks cool.

My brother has one. An SP pistol it is not.

It is a dependable double action only pistol. I have two in 9mm. My wife is a revolver girl and likes this gun as the trigger is more revolver like than my Glocks, 1911s, FNH, etc. 15 rds is a lot of lead for defense. It is what it is. We like ours.

I have the 250C and I like it a lot. Its extremely accurate in 357 Sig and decent in 40 S&W.

Please excuse my ignorance but can you tell me what an SP Pistol is?

Sig was really slow in delivering the "conversion" frames and slides, which was the rational for the pistol with it's unique trigger assembly/FFL# part. So that really slowed it down in popularity. Then the Sigpros 2340, 2009 and 2022s started turning up and most folks who handled them side-by-side (like me) decided to go Sigpro.

The folks that like a DAO auto, for the DAO feature, seem very happy with them however.

I have 3 of the 9mm compacts. They all shoot very well, have extremely smooth triggers, and have never jammed or failed once. It is my carry pistol as well.

I had one. It was a great pistol. I just could never it use to the long DAO trigger, would often not reach the reset for quick follow up shot. But that is user error not the gun.The gun deserves a lot more credit then it gets. I loved the grip texture. And the single transfer yet over twelve different gun option was a strong selling point for me.

Ran a couple of mags of Underwood through my compact today. I shot some 165gr @ 1200fps and everything seemed normal. Then I shot some 135gr @ 1500fps and started to have ftf's.

Are the compact Sigs picky about hot ammo?

If I could find a stronger recoil spring would that help?

i have a P250C .45 & have not had any issues at all, i bought the gun brand new & used it to take my ccw course.
from the 1rst bullet to the last i've put through it without a malfunction, chews them shells up & spits them out.
very accurate & functions great, i use federal champion 230gr ammo with no issues.

I have a P250c .40SW. It is one of the most dependable CCWs I have owned. For DAO, just change your trigger pull from the tip of your finger to the lower part and practice.

I'm interested in the P250c or maybe sc. I have a P290 now. Got it used on a deal & so far it's been great. Still getting used to the trigger but that's me not the gun.

the compact fits my hand like a glove & i love it, depends on what your going to use it for.
cc or just to have fun with at the range or at home, and the size of your hand try them out 1rst.
the sub compacts in sig are just like the baby glocks, if you want it to fit your whole hand you'll need the mag ext.

Thanks for the info. I need to compare both to the size of my P290. The 290 has 2 mags one flush 6rnd = 2 finger. One extended 8rnd = 3.

How many rounds in the SC and C?

post #12 is my gun it came with 1 mag, that sucked because these mags are not cheap. i bought my extras for $30 ea used shipped, but i can say they looked never used probably just demo's.
mine is the .45 & the mag is 9+1.

I carried a P250 for a couple of years and liked it very much. If you are into DAO it is the way to go. I only got rid of it because I am a 1911 guy and that is what I carry now. Also, if you don't like the long DAO trigger, there is a short trigger option you can change out.

Very solid quality. Excellent carry.
