1. Picked up a Gen 2 G19 for $300. Black Talon ammo and a soft case.
2. G19 actually likes my lead loads as is. Stock barrel. That is a first.
3. Got a Xmas gift. Dillon Calender. Wow.
4. Free 5 gallon bucket of wheel weights.
5. Woke up to the sound of my home brew Octoberfest beer bubbling. Nice it's alive.
Not a bad little run. All but number 1 was within the last 24 hours.
Damn you better go buy a lottery ticket.

Soaked it, gave the slide release a jiggle and it came right out.
You call temps in the teens, single digit wind chills and another canceled match good luck?
I am going to resort to shooting indoors today.

Don't leave the spackle bucket out in the car, it will freeze.

A cold day shooting is better than a good day working! :whistling:
Black talon ammo
Cop killer...
I think they should have made them yellow and called them "Golden Shower".

It was our duty ammo.
I always thought all the fuss over the Black Talons was pretty comical. Winchester just left the lubalox coating off and made the talons bigger on the newer versions. The people making the fuss were too dumb to notice.

The fact it shoots my lead bullets makes me the happiest. It's nice to not have to buy a KKM or similar.

I'm pretty sure that 'golden showers' are something else...

We have a local Brewery supply house that customs makes the kits. Zombie Steve is the Brew Miester. Essentially, Grains for 55mins, bittering hops for 5mins, liquid yeast, ferment in cold room, rack a couple times, last time into sugar. Let it carbonate for a couple weeks. Old west brewery supply in Colorado springs. Sub out the dry yeast for liquid yeast is the hot ticket..

Making some Fuel for small engine? ;)
Making some Fuel for small engine? ;)
Not me. I walked away from John Barleycorn. But you'd need some type of license even for making fuel for your 0.49 Cox engine.

I was told you could make fuel all you want. Just can't make it for consumption. Is that not right?

From what I read, on the internets, you can't distill alcohol for anything, not even a drop, without some type of permit/tax stamp whatever. They have different ones for different purposes. If you wanted to make a gallon a year to power your toy steam engine you don't have to get the same permit that Jack Daniel has. And I doubt any Revenuers are going to break down your door to get at you for a drop hear and there, but technically, you must have some type of permit, even for home use.

So it sounds like the feds have their laws and the states have their laws. Kinda like the deal with pot.

I'm glad someone is having some luck lately. Unfortunately it's not me.
Over $1,900 in car repairs this month. My wife lost her job after 23 years, due to a "take over" by another company. My work has slowed to a crawl. My girlfriend told me that she is pregnant. My dog "Lucky" got run over by a pedifile who moved in next door last week.
On top of all of that - and worst of all- I'm completly out of 124 gr, 9mm Montana Gold's.
I hope my luck changes soon because I will need to load up some 9mm's very soon.

That is bad luck!
