you do a google search for pics of 10/22, you will get countless items to view. Exactly what I did and saw many different stock and barrel combos, found one I liked and then researched the part.

It appears to be a Ghillie Green Hogue Overmolded stock. Same stock as mine pictured above, but mine is obviously black.

Yep, OD Hogue. Not ghillie green, just scuffed up OD.

My Hogue/TacSol 10/22 in the picture only weighs a couple pounds. Very light.

It is a lighter weight stock. I went with it to make it easier for my 10 year old to shoot. With that said, my Kidd LW barrel is a little heavier than the Tac-Sol that Travclem has.

Keep in mind that Hogue makes the stock for standard taper barrels as well as the .920 bull barrels.

Planning to keep the stock barrel for the iron sights, anyone know to add a light to a 10/22 with hogue stock without the barrel band?

You can get a rail that clamps onto the barrel itself.

What is the intent? hunting? I've never seen a need for a light on a 10/22.

What are you going to be surviving? Truth be told, I'd skip the light for now. If the EOTWAWKI comes around and you need a light on your .22, just duct tape a flashlight to it.

and I thought I was crazy in love with the 10/22. I am building my project gun currently too!!! Had an old model 10/22 that had a 10lb trigger on it (no joke, yes 10lbs) that I DID a trigger job on ( I highly recommend doing this. It increases groups from MOA to way Sub Moa.) And then to test it, I put on a Larue 1.5 SPR mount with a Leupold 4.5-14x50 LR/T Mark VI with Illuminated reticule and Mill Dots. Yup 2000+ in optics on my lil Ol Ruger. Shoots bug shot holes at 40 yards no issue and with stock barrel and wood stock. Ill add a Pic...but just a teaser it aint ready yet. Have a picatinny rail mount coming *avoid see through mounts like a plague! Useless...* and debating buying...or tricking out the standard stock...more soon.http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t121/josh_88_photo/IMAG0524_zpsba942ccf.jpg

Next project will be a Liberty Training Rifle for Appleseed, with Nodak Spud sights. It will take a little machine work to fit the front sight on a .750" x 20" stainless steel, medium weight varmint rifle (sorry, no pics yet).

I hated the folder so I sold the stock and put her back in wood (in the two pictures above)

That is a very cool looking 10/22 . . . with all the customization of these rifles I don't think I've ever seen one configured like that.

Thanks for the compliment!!! I really appreciate that! I love my setup, and if you look on eBay larues go for slightly cheaper. The mount quick releases without losing zero, and holds up very well. Mine is the 1.5 but they have a lot of models. Leupold and burris make a knock off of it as well.

Eh I bought 2 from larue and one from eBay and honest they are the same. Not sure if the one is a fake or not but to my knowledge it works just as good! Would recommend for sure. The price was a little less but its a larue what would you expect.

Looks like you have a red dot mounted. May I ask where
you got the rail that mounts on the barrel from?

Thanks in advance

Ummm that red dot is on the reciever. Looks to me like a low moa picatanny mount. Same kinda setup I really enjoy. May be a weaver/picatanny combo. Tactical solutions has them, I like the utg a lot. Half the price and very sturdy.;);)

Weaver Rail on the receiver. The sight is a Burris TR-25 3 MOA, it has an integral mount.
