My local reloading shop had some 62gr pulled .223 for $67 per 1k, I picked up 3k. Now they are up to $78 per 1k, still a good price!

Though possibly a little more than the pulled bullets your buying. You will find the MG or Hornady bulk bullets a lot more consistent.
I would advise to get with a buddy and split a order of MG's.

A pulled bullet will never shoot as well as a new. MG in bulk or Horandy form Widener's in bulk, just over 8x each. For plinking, I have investged in a set of swaging dies to make my own from spent 22lr. So that would be free for just my time & the initial cost of dies, which is significant, Mostly, I want to swage my own so I always have them. I can cast for all my handgun calibers, but cast bullets in rifles, especially gas op ones, is less than desireable.

Asking around here will only get responses for multple thousands. I agree, $450 for 6000 bullets is a great price; if I had any need for 6000 bullets. I haven't even loaded the 3000 I already have.

My last bulk purchase (6K) was also from MidSouth. Granted, that's a chunk of change to drop all at once.

Remember, they don't go bad just sitting around. And if you're the enterprising sort, you can always sell smaller quantities in baggies to your reloading friends at a markup.

If you're up for 6000 of them, MidSouth still does... same price, but I'd bet they won't be available for long.

Anyone check out
http://shootersproshop.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=71_101&page=2

They have Nosler blemished and overrun bullets.
I've ordered from them before, their shipping is kind of slow, but the price I got my 6.8 bullets for was worth the wait.
