Minutes before Michigan Governor Snyder signed the 'Right-To-Work' bill into law...

MICHIGAN GOVERNOR SNYDER SIGNS BAN ON MANDATORY UNION DUES

... Teamsters head Jimmy Hoffa appeared on CNN, as seen in the clip below, warning that:

"This is just the first round of a battle that's going to divide this state. We're going to have a civil war,"

as the bill to weaken unions' power is passed. If Hoffa is right, look for Michigan GDP to soar: after all it is one of the more Keynesian states in the union.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has signed right-to-work legislation, dealing a devastating and once-unthinkable defeat to organized labor in a state that has been a cradle of the movement for generations.

He put his signatures on the bills Tuesday, hours after the state House passed the measures as the chants of thousands of angry pro-union protesters filled the Capitol.

Snyder says a failed ballot proposal to enshrine collective bargaining rights in the constitution triggered the discussion that led to the passage and signing of right-to-work.

During a news conference, he called the protests "an exercise in democracy."

"... Teamsters head Jimmy Hoffa..."

Always a little weird to see that.

We're going to have a civil war,..."

So now, even liberals are starting to think that is what is going to happen.

I hope he is right. It is the only way to bring liberty back to this country instead of the thuggish statism we now find ourselves with. It isn't too big of a deal for him to disappear too.

Unions are becoming more and more synonymous with violence.

And just who will this "civil war" involve?

The name Hoffa might not have a good future, based on the past.

Ask Jimmy what happened to daddy.....any questions???? These thugs need put in their place. They have ruined a great country. They were needed in the old days to insure worker treatment and conditions were safe and fair, but they have morphed into a greedy self serving bunch of fools who have driven many businesses to close. Most recently Hostess.

+1!

Union leaders are for a very select group of people...the union officials. They couldn't care less about the average union member. Just as long as they keep paying their union dues.

Time for them to go.

If there is any trouble, it will be between the pro union members and the union members who want to leave the union.

Unions maintain that they make a better product, more efficiently and safely than non-union workers. They also maintain that, in the long run, the bottom line is better with unions for both worker and business. They endlessly claim to be more professional and productive than non-union labor.

If that were factual, wouldn’t market forces push most business towards union labor in order to remain competitive? In addition, wouldn’t unions welcome right to work laws in order to show how superior the union workforce would be? If their claims were true, few non union companies could remain competitive in most any area.

Unions and progressives have a common bond. They both want actions taken for the good of the collective rather than reward the excellence of the individual. The most skillful, productive craftsmen, workers, tradesmen or professionals would rather bargain for his own wages and benefits before being lumped as equals among lesser abled individuals. They are aware of the value that their labor or service bring to any business and are secure in that knowledge that their talents will always be rewarded by any business that recognizes their worth.

Great, now the Unions are guilty of promoting sedition and civil war. Great way to promote better conditions for their workers. Get a few killed for the Union and everything will be better.

little has changed over the years.

No mister Hoffa that's not what happens. The reality is Michigan might become like Virginia. Low unemployment no one complaining of oppression and a fairly solid economy. Michigan will just be like half the country that already has right to work. It's nothing new hate to break it to you.

The bottom line is that no company would give Michigan a smell when looking to set up shop the way it was.

Michigan, like Illinois needs to figure out that they are in competition with 49 other states.

On a positive note, after it was over, MI would never vote for a Marxist politician again as the state would be deep Red.

With what I saw on TV, they sure look professional to me.

Professional thugs.

No one likes intimidation and threats.

Watch your back Hoffa. They got your daddy and they can get you.

Union policy voting is done behind vaulted doors for agenda driven outcomes.
