I'm going to order a Primary arms red dot, my Colt has an Aimpoint and Larue high rise mount, should I get the similar lower co witness for my 22 even though It doesn't have a FSB? Will the absolute co witness regular mount be much different when switching between the two for training?

Not gonna be enough difference to worry about, IMO.

That's what I was thinking, how would this optic hold up if I had to use it as a back up on my M4?

PA makes great stuff for range toys, fun guns, etc. I wouldn't feel comfortable using one for a serious HD/SD weapon. I have a PA 3x magnifier for my Mk. 18 SBR to go behind my Aimpoint M2, but the 3x is purely for range fun.

Again that's what I was thinking, My BUIS are there for a reason, it should work great for my M&P and I can't complain about the price

I suppose it would work in a pinch, but Marshal (PA owner) himself even advises against using PA optics on HD/SD/Duty guns.

I run a PA on my fun guns, a .22 AR and a Draco that I had a MB pinned and stock installed. The "serious" AK has a H1 as do the 2 heavier use ARs.

It is not going to be enough difference to notice.

I've got an XPS 2-0 on mine. Not sure why really.

My PA micro clone works great on my 15-22. It stays pretty well zeroed and is dead accurate way out past 100 yards, which is about as far as I can see anything well enough with no magnification.

I run a PA RD on a ADM absolute co-witness QD mount with Magpul BUIS.

I got in on PA's Black Friday deal and I'm highly impressed with the results. I've got four Aimpoints, but that Vortex is a nice scope for the money. The 3x is sweet, as well! I'd have no qualms with runnin' either of these devices at the range.

I received my red dot from PA, love it, excellent quality, should I leave it on all the time like my aimpoint? It is not for defense purposes and can be left off, what kind of battery life should I expect leaving it on at 3-4 brightness?
