I am not going to argue whether there will be a collapse of the dollar. Just to balance the budget would require a 40% cut and that doesn't even deal with the national debt. What puzzles me is, does obama think a collapse of our economy won't affect him or his family? A collapse is not a matter of if but a matter of when. I just can't figure out what he expects to get out of it. After he runs it into the ground he will be as broke as the rest of us. Does he think the secret service will work for free? He is obviously insane along with the rest of the politicians.

I saw Bill Clinton speak at a convention before the election and he actually said something of value. Clinton said politicians are much more honest than generally believed. Listen closely to what they say because more than likely that's what they'll do if elected.

"In five days we will fundamentally transform the United States of America."

It is now obvious that Obama meant destroying capitalism.

Don't worry. The politicians will be fine.

His mug won't be on a dollar bill, there won't be any dollar bills left as the the paper they are printed on will be worth more than the denomination.

Bumbling Benji will blame Europe
Krugman will blame not enough printing
Zero will blame..................Bush
and so on.

Obama is an anti-colonialist. The only problem with that is he is president of the wrong country. The US was never a victim of colonialism. Later we dabbled a bit with having territories, but countries we were involved with have usually benefited from it.

It's downright weird and very scary.

'Liar's like'a drunk: he can be the best (enter useful ability here), but if you can't be sure when he's gonna be sober to accomplish that ability, he's untrustworthy all the time.
The flim-flam man says whatever he thinks the crowd wants to hear. There isn't a truthful bone in his body.
What's that thing in the koran? Lie to accomplish the demise of your enemy?
From day one he's contradicted statements he's made, blatantly gone against what he promised and flat-out lied.
When he drives our great country to it's knees, when other countries are feeding on us like vultures because of our weakness, he will have reached his goal.
He never had anything in mind but the end of an America that he hates.
And his care and feeding has been seen to all along.
When the fit finally hits the shan you can bet your sweet aunt Patootie's bundt pan that he'n his will be frolicking in the surf off some privately owned island somewhere.

President Obama is NOT the problem. The problem is the Americans voted for this mess. You should have shifted the blame on most of the Americans. President Obama didn't appointed himself to the 2nd term so we can not say all the problem is on Obama.

We are using Obama as a scapegoat to make us feel little better/good.

I think you give Obama too much credit. Remember where he came from. In order to rise to the top of the Chicago political cesspool, you have to be one big turd. He has powerful forces behind him that control his every move. A rookie like Obama can't go anywhere without some very powerful people getting behind him, and they don't do that in Chicago unless they own you.

In his own mind, Obama feels that his family and his children already "have it made"

His own words.

Politicans do NOT want a collaspe. They realize its pending...they realize its nearly impossible to prevent at this point...but a collapse will change the status quo. And the Status quo right now is they are in power - notice I didn't say in office. Can they be voted out-sure. I would love to see the numbers on how many politicans have left office voluntarily in the last thirty years. I'm not talking retired, brought down by some scandal or lost an election. Politicans above all else crave power.

I've posted this many times. As the immediate family member of a former Congressman (who ironically did leave voluntarily) I assure you every member of Congress, senator and president have a backup plan. Ironically again, they seem dead set on NOT trying to deal with the problem but have a plan to deal with the aftermath.

The economic collaspe of the dollar and/or federal government will be as impactful as WW2 and 9/11. No one knows what to expect.

The burning question is do you try and fix it or just reset it. The second big question is will the public/world accept it or just say screw it and go medieval

I agree, anyone that voted for this nutjob is to blame too. No argument there.

I'd add a little blame for those that did not vote too.

Over 40% of the eligible voters could not be bothered to vote.

The election is/was irrelevant.
Our economic problems were put into motion prior to the lifetime of everyone here and have been accruing since early in the 20th century.

Both political parties are to blame in approximately equal measure.
Mitt Romney would have done no more to effect a solution than President Obama will.

For years the administration has openly admitted to adhering to the economics of John Maynard Keynes.

Keynes once said:
“There is no subtler, or surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debase the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which only one man in a million is able to diagnose.”

Eventually they almost always admit what they are up to..
you just have to pay attention.

It is still the Americans' fault. We voted our representatives to keep the Keynes' machine going. We could have terminated it long time ago with our votes through representatives; it never happened.

The most recent election gave us an opportunity to end the Keynes' machine by voting Ron Paul/Gary Johnson. It seems that our immediately selfish gain is more important than to plan for the future. The Americans has spoken for itself and the world is welcomed to mock at us.

Does it sounds right? To me it seems, and they haven't learned anything from Russia, Nazi, and China.

It'll be different this time............that is what the financial people tell themselve when they debase currency too.......it'll be different this time.

Years ago, a guy started where I was working, he was weird, one day he started talking about how nobody really needed much, they should only have a basic existence and so on, I told him we already had places like that, communist countries for example. He said they were along the right idea, but were not being implemented right. I could see where his mindset was.
He ended up killing himself not too long thereafter.
