Hello everyone. I went to my local gun shop to see what was going on. They were extremely busy and sold out of most of the polymer wonders. As I was walking by a case I saw a Sig 1911 target and asked to see it. 30 min later I was driving home with it. I can't wait to shoot it. It came with a TW25 sample. I plan on just using my normal oil-M-Pro 7 lpx as lube, never been a fan of grease. It also came with what seemed to be pretty decent factory mags, though I did buy some Wilson combat mags. Overall I was impressed with the quality of this handgun. Anyone have any experience with Sig 1911s I would love to hear from you. I will post pics and a range report when I have more time.

Congrats, I like the Sig 1911 line. I think they did well getting into a very competitive market. S&W, SA, Kimber (too name a few, I know there's more) all have good options around the $700 to $1200 range also.

And the Wilson mags were a nice touch, I also like the Chip Power 10's.

Congrats! I recently picked up a Sig Tac Ops. I came with (4) 8rd mags, which is standard with that model. It also has night sights. Great shooter and a great gun for the money for sure.

It'll soon have a Harrison Extreme short black solid trigger, which will look better than what came with it and a flush crowned barrel to boot. There should be a Surefire X300 landing in the mail today or tomorrow for it as well. I'm really liking this gun.

Thanks for the info. The market is competitive for sure. For some reason this one caught my eye when I walked by. What do you think about me not using grease on the rails? My plan is to stick with regular gun oil.

Thanks. The X300 landed today, but the gun is at Metaloy getting a new trigger and flush crowned barrel. Perfect timing. :faint:

My P210 Legend came with a tube of grease too. I think that I will stick with gun oil.

Well...you asked for it. SIG America can't even turn out decent guns of their own designs much less making a design that's not of their own. Do they still assemble parts from Caspian? :tongueout:

After looking at Kimbers, Colts, Springers and others, I bought a Sig Traditional 1911 reverse 2-tone. Shot it this past weekend and it seems excellent - great fit and finish, very accurate. Very good looking too.
