They are offering up a solution that could actually help prevent completely, or at least lessen the magnitude of the next shooting. Nothing I've seen so far from the Dems would actually help.

Thus illustrating the conservative tendency to spend their own money on what they believe and value.

Database for mentally ill, videogames is the problem

I have been playing Far Cry 3 for a few weeks now. I do not feel more confident today, then when I started that I can take down a crocodile with a knife. They blamed heavy metal in the 80s and now video games are the scapegoat. Games are rated, if parents are allowing their children to play games that are rated above the kids maturity level, they should be charged with EWOC.

Yeah, I'm not so keen to jump on ANY ban wagons but I'd sure as hell rather have everybody focusing on video games and movies than guns.

For the record I don't think banning video games would do anymore than banning assault weapons.

At least they (NRA) are doing something. Even though I'm an NRA member I've waffled occasionally in supporting the cause. If I want my X-Mas present to be the continued ownership of firearms of my choice, I'd be wise to send some $$$ to organizations that will further my cause. I believe that writing my elected officals has and will continue to make my voice be heard. I also think that money talks and Bulls*it walks will be a harbinger of future gun control.

The media is going to have a field day with this.

It was a setup on the part of the media.

Were where the PRESS badges on those protesters?
Smuggling in the banner flags and then asking a follow up question "Do you have a reaction!".

The Press was in on the protests from the start.

Damned brave of Mr. LaPierre to stand up there as Loonies run up to do who-knows-what.

Funny, I was thinking that the NRA planted them so they could stand up and say "see, we're a 2nd Amendment group, and we support the 1st Amendment, too!"

Calling it a set up or a conspiracy on either side is, frankly, absurd. It was handled well by LaPierre, and they didn't make a big deal of it.

I am pretty disappointed in them trying to blame movies, games, etc, as you can see from my opinion here (http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1458897). Stop blaming ANYONE, or ANYTHING (guns, games, music, or movies) other than the person pulling the trigger. Stop justifying it or excusing it, because when you shift the blame, that's exactly what you're doing.

Guess none of these reporters noticed nutjobs with flags pushing to the front. Too focused on the story, perhaps.

Msnbc.com showed only the portion of the video in which the protesters held up signs in front of the speaker. At least we know who is aiming to be the leading propaganda news source for the communist party.
