I wish I could be so confident..
The anti's are gonna buy a boatload of influence and more than a few votes.
Our government has long been for sale to the highest bidder.

I kept waiting for a flood of used/nib after the '08 elections but never really saw one. Was there one and I missed it?

I'm still kinda pissed that I didn't pick up the Sig M400 at Walmart on Monday. Oh well...

I wouldn't count on it.
It didn't happen the last time and now the distrust and loathing of the government is at a all time high.

i'm tempted to sell mine... bushmaster flattop with less than 100 rounds through it, bought it a couple years ago and besides oiling it every 6 mo or so, don't really ever use it.

What's the going rate?

I doubt it. Guns that are picked up by casual users sit for a long time in sock drawers, closets and safes. I have a couple of guns I just haven't shot in years because my intrests just aren't there anymore. I don't sell them because I figure I might switch back at some point. I can see a casul shooter taking it out once or twice a year for the first few years and then it sits only to be shot on rare occasions.

If you said 3-6 years and and ban that comes (or not) allows for their transfer I could beleive it.

This isn't my first rodeo from the first ban, (which cost the Dems big time), to the first panic buying in '08 to this silliness.

This too shall pass.

I put it at 50/50 for some legislation. I can see the "gun shop loophole" going bye-bye, mental health reporting becoming more strict, and few other smaller scale measures.

It is not going to be the bill DiFi introduced that is for sure.

You must have missed the last election. The demographics and mind set of this country has made a 180 from Bill Clintons time. The head in the sand dance isn't going to work unless mexicans, blacks, and woman love to shoot AR's now.

It's fun to pretend everything stays the same though.

I was going to buy one when prices went down after O was elected the first time but decided I really didn't need one. Now prices have gone up again and I wishes I had bought when I had the chance. I am a patient person and will wait it out Until prices go back to normal.

I'm with you. I don't think this is going to be as bad as some would like to believe. Gun ownership has been increasing over the years and those folks will push more than we saw with the last ban. I do see a flood of ARs next summer when this whole thing blows over. Never really saw a use for one, but may pick one up next summer for fun.
