Now that we are past the election and Obama is safely into his second term, the CommieCrats are starting to say what they believe.

There's a difference between Congress and an asylum? :headscratch:

The number one cause of death, by a huge margin, in Washington, D.C. is standing between a professional liar and a newspaper reporter or news microphone. Thousands have been trampled.

Yeah they are out in full force alright... a "monopoly on legitimate violence"?

Translation: "If you witness people being attacked and murdered, and you are in the position to save lives, you are legally forbidden to do so."

I mean this has got to be the most idiotic statements I have ever heard :steamed: I am just speechless.

But if they make it the law won't that stop criminals from using violence? it would be illegal!

I think they should have a monopoly on legitimate communication too.

Mental problems? Yeah, definitely. I would also call it being a Domestic Enemy of the Constitution -- does it really get any worse than saying that citizens should have no legal right to use force to defend themselves under any circumstance? That is effectively what his statement means.

Seriously, that was a bomb-shell, similar to the republican that talked about rape and abortion before the election, but it will never get the press.

That's not tyranny. Just good old "Common Sense" to those in power who enjoy protecting & wielding that power. Pure and simple. What's not to like? :whistling:

Sad thing is, there are quite a few (50%?) of our population who agree with that sentiment.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. -- Ben Franklin

I just don't have anything good to say about Nadler and his views, and am thankful that I don't have to deal with him.

I am appreciative of what our current Governor had to say the other day:

“you should be able to carry your handgun anywhere in this state.” (http://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/local-politics/20121217-texas-gov.-rick-perry-to-speak-at-tarrant-county-tea-party-meeting.ece)

Yes, even those with high-capacity "clips."
