My local shop has stripped STAG 2nd Amendment AR lowers for $200 right now. I didn't even know. The owner told me he's not selling them to just anybody. They are not even displayed, he said they are just for his regular customers as a way of saying thanks during this shortage on AR parts. When he ask me today if I was interested in a AR lower and showed me this for $200 I jumped on it.

I drove about 32 miles to another store I use and bought a STAG lower parts kit. She installed beautiful but she's missing the dam rear take down pin, I already ordered from JSE Surplus for $3.25:supergrin:

If you are happy with that price, great find. Congrats on your new build!

Hell stripped lowers are going for $400 and selling right now on the PA forum. I would never pay over $200 which is my limit for a stripped lower during a shortage and AWB proposal.

Cool...but around here stripped lowers can still be had for $100. I don't know what it'd cost someone with a laser to do that on a lower...but I don't know that I'd pay $100 extra for it.

No one has stripped or complete lowers right now. A normal STAG lower in PA cost $140 plus tax I think $200 during the shortage and with the ban a possibility jacking up prices I am very happy to do $200 out the door. I got hooked up today and I'm very happy:wavey:

Bah, I'm not hurting for the cash, I'll keep what I got.

Glad I learned from a GT friend long ago, buy 'um cheap and stock 'um deep.

Great advice.

I'm just a very handsome man, not a profiteer ... I had 3 but built an AR for my nephew to use last week.

Have fun with your build!

I looked for another complete lower two days ago. I bought my STAG complete lower for 159 a month ago. No name cheapies, even the polymer ones are going for 400+ now complete... I think thats a "good buy" the way things are at this date. A normal stripped lower sold at 100 seems to be 200+ now.

Seems everyone is cryn over prices, seems to me with the way the country is headed( after this last pres election) whats a good price on something you might never see again. I can see a ban going on untill real americans get control back of this country.:crying:

you did great at 200.00 an when they come for the rest of your freedoms 2000.00 be great.

There are many companies manufacturing AR type lowers. It's my understanding that quality can vary considerably. At least that's what the fellow who built an upper receiver for my Colt lower told me.

He builds AR type rifles and said he sends more than half of the lowers back because of out-of-spec problems. FWIW.

I always found PSA, Spikes and STAG to go together with no issues and they fit most uppers nice and tight. I only once had a PSA lower I built fit very lose on a Bushmaster upper. That was the 1st time and last time I used Bushmaster.

That is the max i would pay for a lower in this panic we are in. Only because I have a few Lanco lowers i payed $99 for a few weeks ago. I doubt they will be that price again for a while.
If i didnt have a lower or even an AR then i would pay whatever i needed to to get one so you got a decent priced one.

UPS just dropped of my PSA complete LPK today.

Used to buy gas for less than $1 per gallon, too.

Now, the trick is finding all the parts to put into that stripped lower.

Congrats!

Where are you going to find an upper? I've searched high and low, all is out and places aren't even emailing or calling back.

I think the main issues were holes drilled off center.

If it works, then all is good I suppose.

Classic Pistol has some STAG LPK
s left. I bought 1 for $90 and $9 for a Magpul trigger guard. STAG had complete stock kits so I ordered one for $90 which is Mil-spec. I have a good amount of 30rnd P-Mags and ammo. I have a pending deal for Wed to trade ny WASR AK-47 for a Spikes AR-15 16" upper 1X7 twist chrome lined with F mark front post sight. I am giving dude AK-47 mags and some ammo also. His upper has Magpul rear flip sight and a Troy vertical drop grip.

Lucky you. I bought two rifle mags and got sent the wrong ones. I'm probably screwed unless I want to pay some obscene rate. I only got them today and the place was closed, so we'll see what they say on Wednesday.
