Just came across late night abc news. They were running a piece about gun control. They talked about a school district in new jersey that was hiring armed police guards. Christie was on saying he was against it which means he most likely isnt on our side. Eff him!!!!

He probably isn't pro-gun, but him not wanting armed guards at a school doesn't necessarily make him anti-gun.

He's not pro gun, but out of all the candidates in this craphole state I'd pick him any day. If he was pro gun he'd lose in any election here, trust me on that. He's rude, obnoxious, has a temper, and tells people things in such a way that they'll never be able to be misconstrued. He's done a decent job here in NJ, which is something most of you won't understand. A REPUBLICAN that is working with a DEMOCRAT majority and getting reforms done with an approval rate of around 55-60%.

A Republican worked with a Democrat majority in Massachusetts...his name was Romney...

He's nothing short of a RINO He is not pro gun. On top of every thing else I don't think he has seen any thing that he does not want to eat.

If Christie is the best the Republicans can put up for POTUS, the Democrats have nothing to worry about.

How can the guy talk when his lips are stuck to Barry O's butt cheeks?

Knew he was at best a RINO a while ago. His Sandy antics were there for everyone to see his real colors. This can't be a surprise!!

When Chris came on stage I liked him. Once I started listening to him, I agree with the OP, elf him. His fat ass won't get my vote if he wins Republican nomination

I'm dead against him if he becomes a candidate in the next primary, but if he becomes the Republican candidate for president, I'll support him to try to beat the democrats. It only works as a group effort to win - not a "people who really, really like the candidate" effort.

for new jerseystan Christie is the same choice as cut off your left leg or your right leg.

he is far from a conservative, just slightly better than the typical northeastern liberal.

I don't think we have to worry about the Republicans running him as a candidate for President...his star has fallen (course it could rise again Lazarus...) :D

He's my favorite New Jersey politician.

Damning with faint praise here.

The Republican Party's positions now are where the Democratic Party's were 50 years ago. There is no conservative political party. There is a political party that is more conservative than the other, to a certain degree, than the other. We need a third party or a replacement for the pseudo-conservative republican party.

F=facism C=communism s=socialism d=democrats r=republicans |=midpoint or=old republican a=anarchist.

This is how I see it. BTW, not my graphic, paraphrased from "Agenda:grinding of America". It makes the most sense to me though. It explains the political change I've seen in my life time.

No ****--if these are our choices for future POTUS selections, we might as well as shelve it at wait for the next messiah.

So because he doesn't agree with putting armed guards/police in schools, he's probably an anti? There's plenty of people on GT, myself included, which don't like the idea.

Why not? The places that have had a police presence react far more quickly and directly than having to roll in from the other side of town and have people ***** it took them too long to respond.

I think there should be a police presence in the school systems to deal with issues that teachers just aren't mentally equiped for. It seems like a way of decreasing the damage that evil people want to purposely inflict on a location they know is target rich.

The same reason I applaud those that CCL at their churches.

I live in N.J and take it from me Christie is just as anti gun as the most anti gun liberal. I am a board member in the NJ2AS New Jersey second amendment society believe me we tried working with Christie on a number of really common sense issues and we got no were we actually get further with the democrats on the legislature

More like amputating the toe or the whole leg. You didn't go through Corslime's regime.

I hope he goes away because he is not a republican or a conservative. No one in politics from NY or NJ are.

Second, I would like to see LEO's in the schools but not teachers or security guards. People including myself have issues with how cops handle things at times but they are still the best trained people to have protecting something very important like children.

Between the cops I know and the teachers I know I would trust the cops way more.

This being said the SRO was the first thing cut when the teachers and Administration wanted that big raise and more bennies where I live. I for one would rather see a SRO than another six month wonder making $50,000 and working a study hall.

Those truly interested in protecting the most vulnerable need to adopt Marxist terminology to disarm (pun intended) the Radical Left.

Since for Rads the terms "choice" and "self-determination" are sacred buzzwords we who are truly interested in protecting schoolchildren should begin demanding that every school district apply "self-determination" in how that district decides to deal with school safety, in order to provide "choice" that empowers at the "community" level.

we certainly wouldn't want to man those "Gun Free Zones" with folks who might want to enforce that Law now would we?
Let's keep them a haven of a soft target for the nutbags who want to kill some kids.
After all they have rights too!
