Wow. "Damn cyclists" is right... I can't stand the ones around here, they think they own the road. They put on their tights pretending to be Lance Armstrong and then ride 2 or 3 wide, so there is no way you can get by without going halfway into the left lane. I've even seen these idiots ride directly in the middle of the road at 15MPH in a 45 zone, ignoring the bike lane as if they were a motor vehicle. Needless to say, they got a good dose of my horn.

Have you driven into a lake? That's what I want to know.

In some places you need a dashcam to get insurance. Russia is is one. Most of europe is going to go that way. I bet the U.S. Follows within 10-15 years. They are going to be built into the cars soon and keep the last few minutes of video and motion data.

Nope, but around here there are places they love to ride, which have many blind corners... and veering off the road isn't an option, because a 1,000ft cliff is on the other side of the road. I'm not too sure what goes through the minds of these people... but sense is one thing they seem to be severely lacking.

First time you hit one, they learn to be alot more polite.

Seeing him cry because he got a ticket for you wrecking his bike is hilarious.

You have to admit from an entertainment value perspective that was the perfect vehicle in which to install a dash camera.

(Hit by car on bicycle when I was a kid, but that there is still funny.)

I'm an auto claims adjuster, and I would rule the driver of the van 100% at fault for that accident.

If he had plowed over the bike lying in the road; 50/50.

Most state traffic laws state that the driver of a motor vehicle has a duty to avoid objects in the road and maintain control of their vehicle.

The van driver got one of them right...

Just like deers. Don't swerve. Just hit them. The bike was unscathed.

EDIT: I mean bikes in the road, not cyclists. Lol

Bicycles can be rough on oil pans.

I don't leave my bikes in the middle of the road though.

The car had plenty of room to avoid the bike. Poor driving skills - you slow down when you can't see ahead - he obviously didn't.

I was a block away from my house when a guy in a SUV ran over my bike. I stepped off just in time. He was making an illegal left so I was not expecting him. The guy fealt terrible and wanted to replace the bike but could not afford it. I replaced it and told the guy to not worry about it. It was close to Christmas........last year.

Many years ago my daily driver was a Suzuki Samurai. Though the Consumer Reports rollover report on those vehicles was fabricated, I learned to not swerve to miss stuff in the road.
