IF, any kind of gun ban ends up taking place and new AR style rifles are a part of that ban, do you think there's a chance for RRA to go back to making 1911's? As long as they kept them reasonably priced and where built to the same level of quality as they used to be, I could see this happening, if a ban on AR style rifles was imposed...against our will.

Would love to see some new 1911s produced by RRA

I sure hope so. However, I fear prices will be much higher than before.

I personally felt they made some of the best 1911s in the world. Guncrafter has since picked up where RRA left off, but there's certainly room for both.

My Limited Match remains one of my favorite 1911s to this day. Its an amazing pistol and there's not one thing I don't love about it.

RR has announced a "popularly priced" pistol on a plastic receiver.
Due sometime next year.

I don't consider it a replacement for their fine steel guns.

Freaking kicking a guy when he is down yet again, "I want one"....."Oh you do? Here let me post pics of mine cause that will make you feel better"....

Man I hope you feel as guilty as you should.....

I am gonna go hang out in General Glocking, I mean other than a occasional white crayon add in the the mix they all look alike so I won't have this issue there......

It sure is. I may be Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die, I'll be Sooner dead. But I grew up in Texas after we moved from Oklahoma when I was a kid and while I hate the texass shorthorns, I still rooted for those bastards in their bowl game, ONLY to show BigXII loyalty, I do love the STATE of Texas. Here's some better pics of the STI. Just for you Ruggles.

I would like to see them go back to the all steel frames. I'm still undecided about their polymer frame version.

I've yet to see one in person, so until then, I'm gonna hold judgement. But, I will say that everything I own from them is top notch.

With the increased popularity of the 1911 over the last 4 or 5 years, I can't believe RRA decided to stop making them.

You can put together quite a few ARs in the time it takes to hand fit a 1911 of that quality.

Exactly, plastic rifles are dime a dozen in comparison.

Of course, they aren't exactly cheap these days, but dime a dozen from a craftsmanship standpoint. Its sort of like Glock and many other polymer pistols.
