People who say that we would all be better off if all of the guns in the world could magically disappear are fools. How would you like to have to defend yourself or your home against a pack of low-life wielding machetes, axe handles, or baseball bats without a gun.

Good stuff from Mass, and I fully agree. But compare it to this thread.

Mass- GREAT talking points for the gun grabbers. They won't listen to them and will poo-poo them but great articulation anyway. Thanks

I would want MA in my corner if I were ever in court over a SD shooting.

My attorney is a good friend, a former neighbor, and a fellow competitor and arms dealer/FFL - but I still pay him for his professional legal services.

I'll say hi to Mas and Gail for you this weekend when I see them. :)

I just emailed my Congressman, urging him to vote against the ban. He's a liberal, but it is good to email your reps no matter what their party.

Action is important. Here is a link to find your Congressman's contact info: (it gave me his name, and then I had to click on his name to get to his web page with info http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

A good idea. They don't vote for anything that is not self serving. Over 90% of them lost their seats as a result of the AWB. Fear of a repeat runs strong I am sure. Most of the libs are on to the next issue after a month or so, be it saving whales or Big Gulps being sold.
