I'm considering getting a new Glock for concealed carry. I already have a G22 gen 3 but I only use it for open carry or CC if it's winter time. I would be carrying it in a Galco King Tuk holster with nothing between the grip and my skin as I like to only wear t shirts especially in the summer. I have heard that the grip texture from the gen 4 Glocks can be rather uncomfortable against bare skin. Has anyone had this problem?

I have a Gen4 Glock 22 and have carried it IWB with no issues of discomfort or concealment.

The grip texture is more aggressive than the older Glocks but I haven't found it to be problematic. I have heard others complain about it though.

I would imagine it will depend upon your body type and the holster your using.

Is the gun in a position that it rests against your bare skin?

I carry my Glock 27 Gen4 here in Florida with no T-Shirt and I don't have a problem with the new texture. That being said, wearing a T-Shirt would make it more comfortable if you were carrying all day.

Just wore a Gen 4 G17 all day yesterday in an IWB holster against bare skin...no problem at all. Worst for me is sharp edges on a 1911.

I carry my G22 gen 4 in a DeSantis Intruder at 3:30, sometimes with and sometimes without a t-shirt. Like NEOH212, the texture of the grip has never been a problem for me.

Sweet. Thank you guys. I was just going to go with the Gen 3 for this reason and I don't see the Gen 4 as being that much greater but with this info I may just go with it instead.

Why not just stay with your Gen III G22?

How the hell do you carry a full size H&K and a G22 everywhere? I can't ever see a woman carrying these pistols concealed.

True, they are kinda big.

But back to the OP's question. I carry my Gen 3 19 and it is a lot more comfortable than my Gen 4 17. Not saying that the Gen 4 is unpleasant just that the Gen 3 feels great.

OW, I can feel the sharp edges of an M1911A1! I am glad that my only Glock is a G17.
