Let's hear your New Year's resolutions.

I have a suggestion, and at least .gov cannot ban this one:

Mindset matters most.

No more fast food, no more coke (tough one), and more exercise. Down to 200 by the end of the year.

My New Year's Resolutions
1.) Stop making New Year's Resolutions

12-31-2012, 20:15
New Year's resolutions are just a "To Do List" for the 1st week of January.

1.Piss off as many liberals as I can.

2.Instead of turning the other cheek to peoples stupidity and ignoring them, give them a big **** sammich back.

Add a few pounds to get to #160.

Find lawful ways of paying less taxes.

My resolution on NYE last year was to stop smoking cigarettes, and so far I've pulled it off. Though it was tough in the beginning, and tougher when having a bad day. For 2013 I hope to mountain bike more often, and keep the weight off.

12-31-2012, 20:41
Read less GNG. My blood pressure will surely thank me.

12-31-2012, 20:48
To actively work against, and spend money, to eliminate every politician that is trying to take my rights away now.

12-31-2012, 20:49
I'm going to try to be a nicer person, both in this forum and IRL. I think that if I can manage that it should be enough for one year. ;)

12-31-2012, 22:31
Take the safety class and pass the test and steal the Night Rod from Mr.C, because no man needs a bike that gorgeous.

12-31-2012, 22:58
I don't make resolutions.

I set goals to achieve by year end. They are defined and measurable and typically in writing or on a spread sheet to track. It forces one to be honest with yourself.

Work on my adhd and then...SQUIRREL!!!! ohhh shiny, my shiny

I resolve that I will stop quoting obscure philosophers on GT

01-01-2013, 00:03
To become MORE 'mindful'. To try and live in the current moment and therefore not succumbing to the anxieties of the future. Cliche and might sound all warm and fuzzy but that's my resolution and I will make an effort. Also, did I mention get in shape?:rofl::rofl:

Get mad kitty, shoot guns more, grip tip sip that sex in a conoe, burn menthols and be happy!! Wrench on my ride when I feel like it. Enjoy the single life like a boss, be myself. Can't ask more from myself than that.

01-01-2013, 00:37
Drink more whiskey, do more cope, shoot more guns...

Dang, we could be twins...

My ideal 12% body fat weight is 225... I'm about 90lbs over that now.

But, my daughter already knows how to shoot, I'm still on my first read through of the Bible, and I've already completed my build of my SHTF AR...:dunno:

Drink less or stop.
Learn to be a better grandparent than I was a parent.
See different places and do different things before time runs out on me.
Learn to tolerate haters online.

Drop a few lbs. and to CCW EVERYDAY! No excuses for leaving my firearm at home this year.

01-01-2013, 06:23
I'd like to keep making progress on a few things that I started since transferring off the ship back in Aug.

1. Continue/beef up my workout routine, I'd like to loose 10 pounds but if I maintain current weight I'll be ok (within Navy standards).
2. I need to cut back on the alcohol.
3. Teach my wife to shoot.
4. Get rid of some crap around this house. We've been in this house for 8 years and things have piled up to ridiculous proportions. My first 18 or so years in the Navy we moved every 18-36 months and that kept things under control. Not moving since '05 (believe me I'm not complaining) has led to every nook and cranny being filed with stuff, time to make a serious dump run!

My NYE Resolution was to be nicer to my wife. If she just keeps hers and obeys me and does what she is told, it should be easy!!!!:whistling::rofl::rofl:

01-05-2013, 20:57
I just determined my first resolution. I want to have a forum presence more like Okie. I've never read a cross word from him. Just because I'm a dick in real life doesn't mean it has to show through online.

No more charitable contributions. Period. Of any kind

Achieve world peace through world domination. Everyone bow to me your new emperor.

I will be getting fit this year. I have already moved toward this goal.
