why do people keep voting this idiot in???....Because they are bigger morons than Bloomberg.

It's really to bad that a IQ test isn't required before being allowed to vote.

The good news is this:

After he blames and bans everything else, he will eventually getting around to blaming the criminals.

The only constant in these stories is Bloomberg himself. So by using his own logic all the problems are actually caused by Bloomberg and outlawing Bloomberg would turn NY in to the garden of Eden..

Bloomberg is an idiot. Blaming crime on the phones is like blaming obesity on forks.

Bloomberg is responsible for most of the gun crime in NY by telling criminals we are a city defenseless against you!

"The city maintains that if you take Apple out of the equation, major crime would be down instead of up by 3.3%"

Amazing it doesn't occur to these idiots to focus on taking the criminals out of the equation.

Or legislate a 10 APS limit on the black Iphones.

It it wasn't for the robberys and murders we'd have a very low crime rate.

The sad part is that all of those numbers are probably false to begin with. Crap flows downhill which means that the police supervisors at the bottom cook those numbers to make themselves look good and take the pressure off. For example, if a person gets punched in the face and then has something stolen, a "creative" LEO could say that this was a harassment and a larceny (one misdemeanor and one violation) instead of a robbery (a major crime). Stats are "fudged" all of the time.

Maybe, like in the old days, they could just give teachers apples?

Or blaming obesity on 24 oz soda

When I first read that article, I thought it was from The Onion...

So... By putting my smart phone in my coat pocket, I am at fault when it is stolen...
isn't that an awful lot like blaming rape victims because they were wearing skirts?

My friend had her IPAD stolen in NYC last year. Out of her bag in a Starbucks. I don't think she reported it, I guess I should call them up to add one more to their rising stats.

He didn't blame just Apple products, he also blamed baggy clothing.

The good news is, wristwatch theft is down now that fewer people wear them.

That is the thought process. We left NY in the mid 80's when I was a teenager. I remember it was advised to cooperate with muggers. Be a good victim and you won't get hurt. Wearing jewelery or carrying a Walkman on the subway was asking for it. If you did it and got hurt or robbed you would receive more ridicule than sympathy. I see not much has changed.
