Very well written piece.
Interesting perspective....logical and the more I think about it, the more I think he's right. Gun control laws are a method of treating citizens as "guilty until proven innocent." You're a criminal until you are background checked and mentally tested and proven to be innocent of any crimes that would prohibit you from owning a firearm. Someone else did bad things with a gun, what guarantee or assurance do we have that you won't do the same? Ok, you've jumped through our hoops and passed our tests so far, but we don't trust you not to flip out with a fully automatic weapon or a full capacity magazine, so here's a semi-auto version of the same and you can only have 10 round magazines.
Sounds like a denial of due process to me.
It doesn't say what anti-gunners want to hear. therefore, they will not hear it. They will refuse to hear it.
Fear and control are the two instigators of the effort to eliminate gun rights.
I said before: This uprising of anti-gun rhetoric is the result of almost 30 people, including children, being killed. Yet no one cares about the 1.2 million abortions of children in one year, 2008. the issue is only age of the child. Rather strange logic for the "safety of children".
